The process begins when a customer joins your referral program and becomes a promoter. You can publicize the referral program using our onsite Refer-a-Friend tab or promo bar. The promotion can also be installed as an app on your Facebook page.
After joining the program, promoters can share their personal referral link on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Email. Promoters share a deal for their friends to claim when they visit your site.
When a friend clicks a personal referral link, they will visit your site and be prompted to enter their email address to receive a discount.
When a referred friend makes a purchase in your store, we automatically reward the promoter who shared their link. We are integrated with digital reward providers like Amazon and Restaurant.com, or you can offer a gift code valid only at your own store.
I have no opinion as to the app -- it is just that this whole advert is in error. According to the folks at Buzz-referrals:
