Shop2Shop allows you to migrate data from one Shopify Shop to another. It's the perfect solutions for merchants selling the same products on multiple storefronts.
Features
This tool is a big disappointment. Transfering shop content is really an important task to solve - how would you do staging with shopify? It does not properly specify what it tries to do and the customer interaction messages are really bad.
You can do this much better, shopify.
Did not work at all. I got the "success" email within seconds and there was no data at all transferred to the duplicate store. The notification email had this completely unhelpful error message: undefined method `to_hash' for nil:NilClass
It transfers everything over as it should but you cannot select a certain product or smart collection, its all or nothing.
Is there any way to make it more selective so you can choose specific products rather than the entire contents?
This app worked great for me. It only took a few minutes and it transferred over all of my products. Thanks for making this so easy
You need to upgrade your Shopify plan if you want to transfer more than 100 sku's.
This worked perfect for the website.
A star
Nothing happened for me. It seems like backing-up, exporting and transferring shop contents should be a standard feature of Shopify.
Even Facebook lets you export your data...
Hi :)
This shop2shop app didn't work at all. It took several minutes but nothing happend, so no transfer what so ever. This is too bad cause we were very excited when we discovered this app !
Fingers crossed that we will end up with another solution that works :)
I got the following error:
Successful Transfers:
24 / 37 Products
Error copying resource product : Failed. Response code = 402. Response message = Payment Required.
Skipped Transfers:Failed Transfers:
Very helpfull indeed !
Some features are missing:
- Update mode - if the "handle" already exist do an update
- Navigation objects should also be transfered
First upload was great. The second upload duplicated all the existing resources, rather than just syncing the new products, so was time-consuming deleting duplicated items.
This app works great for keeping 2 or more shops in sync with each other. No fault of the app but I wish that linklists were exposed in the API so they could be kept in tune with each other as well.
