Was a doddle to set-up! Chat bar works and scales brilliantly on all devices (mobile too!). Dashboard is really informative and easy to use and well as really nice. Needed support couple of times, and they have live-chat available for on-the-spot help. Ace!
Integrations with various IMs didn't work, resulting in missed chats. I uninstalled Zopim and selected a different option.
I would like to follow up with post I made just below about the support and product and say that after I did get a letter off to support and for whatever unforeseen reasons were missed, I did get the problem pushed up the food chain to someone who explained the problem and was very apologetic. They did extend me another trial period so I can see it full potential. I will end that I did try another Chat app after that....ugh. It was nothing compared to the notifications and weekly roundup of this much better app. I'm glad that it seems to be working 100% now.
WOW! After sending support a weeks worth a messages asking for help, on the 16th day... STILL NO HELP.
Anyone who looks at your site with iPhone or iPad will not have the ability to respond, or contact you. There is no send, it's says to use the return... Nothing! The folks who run this software are a joke.
Well, guys...I would say the product here is a complete FAILLLLLLLL.....from the sales point of view.
Lemme get this straight....You want me to install this baby on my site. Here is a bad-butt way to do it from a guy who does copywriting:
SET UP THE PRODUCT ON THIS LANDING PAGE!!!!! Then when people like me come to your page....BOOM BABY...I use your product to contact you...It would tell me so much beyond your video! Or, set up some pre-programmed interaction etc...OR, show me in a YOUTUBE view of someone using it, kickin' butt and taking names and nailing down a sale...I mean, seriously, you guys could have a one MEGA BOMB of a sales point, but you totally miss it...
This is all coming from someone who hasn't downloaded it and is super scared to, due to the below set-up problems mentioned by other people...Is there anyone out there to respond to these reviews? I believe it when I see it!
Very great, easy to install quickly. I finished installation in 2 minutes on the website. Suggest you to register in Zopim website and then come to shopify store for next step. You can visit my shop to view the real effect, link http://paintingwholesalechina.com/
Sorry, but no thanks. Installed the app, so far so good. Then the website asks me for a password I haven't been able to set yet - Fail #1. So I use the "forgot your password?" link and am able to log in. But then the website gives me cryptic errors ("Unknown tag" or somesuch) and throws me back to a broken login screen - Fail #2.
Overall the app gives an incredibly amateurish impression. The app - once installed and running - may well be great, but when it comes to the first-install experience, it fails completely.
Skip this complicated product. It's messy to setup, hard to use, and doesn't work correctly with Gmail. Worst of all, their "uninstall" button doesn't uninstall the app, leaving you with an error message in the footer of your website. And guess what? There is NO support tab or documentation on their site. As another Shopify user pointed out, they're in the support business but offer no support! Goodbye, Zopim...
Adding a live chat on your site is without a doubt a solid move. This app is very usable and definitely worth giving a try if you are eventually ready to pay for it. After the trial period has expired some essential features you've got used to - most prominently ability to hide the chat bubble - will be disabled. This alone was unfortunately big enough reason for me to put the app on hold. Otherwise this is a solid app and there's no free lunch!
So far so good! I'm using the free version which is a bit limited but I guess that's ok (for free).
Great app. My site went live last week and I've already had enquiries through the live chat box the Zopim app placed on my site. Slick and simple installation, support is good and it is obvious enough on the page for site visitors not to miss it. Basically I like it, though it would be useful if it captured the real-time information it has about customers (what pages they visited, landing page and referring site) so we could view historic analytic information (something I've already brought up with them)
Can't even install it into my shopify store. Haha.
Occasional problems logging in, but on the whole an excellent app. Really good way of helping customers find what they're after, and even using the free version some customisation is possible.
Got it installed just fine thought it was going to be a good app, But their service just kept logging me out and when I did test the chat I could see what the visitor was typing but the agent could not respond, But here is the real problem, I tried to contact support to solve the problem and did not get a reply, YOUR IN THE SUPPORT BUSINESS!!! No support = No business
You would think a "live chat" app would provide its own users with live chat assistance ... Zopim doesn't, and evidently its office is on the other side of the world because it takes 8-12 hours to receive a response from their customer service department ... The app was easy to install, but our company has yet to see if/how it actually works, since the app dashboard won't allow us to login. The "Forgot password?" link does nothing ... I've clicked it about 15 times and was supposed to be emailed a new, temporary password each time, but I've yet to receive one email. (And yes, I've checked my SPAM folders ... Nada.) It's a shame--this sounded like a really cool app, but if this is how the free version works, our company definitely won't be upgrading to a paid version.
Nothing but praise! :) It's simple and it works, I am using the free version.
After using it for just 1 day, I have make 2 potential customer just by talking to them using this app. The Free trail enables me to enjoy and explore the possibility of connecting with your customer. Even after the trail ends, it will convert the plan to a lite, but its just as useful for small business like mine.
I will highly recommend any new store to have this, when every single visitor counts. This app will also inform you using IM to your phone(if you are using gtalk) that a customer just enter your store, so you dont need to keep refreshing your admin page =)
It even help you to keep track of customer details, chats and little notes.
Lastly, pls help me to earn some credit by click the link below for me to earn referral benefit .

Zopim is on the right track but you definitely get what you pay for - unfortunately even on the $99 per month account. There are some very key features missing that are extremely important to ecommerce stores including;
- Request a call back (customer can enter their phone number in a form, requesting that customer service call them)
- Push pages (co browsing)
- Path history (being able to see a users page history as they browse your store)
They also keep their logo front and center which for a free or low cost monthly account should be expected but at $99 per month, I think a white label option should be available.
I asked about the features above and they told me to watch their blog for feature releases but admitted most probably won't come until the end of 2010.
I like this solution but its a no go for us while basic functionality is missing that eCommerce stores require =(
This is pretty cool.
I just set it up and am in process of trying to get the IM feature configured with my Gtalk. But overall, the back end is very intuitive and the installation was very easy.
