Built for Shopify store accountants and bookkeepers
A2X takes out the guesswork and gives you full visibility of your Shopify e-commerce sales and fees. A2X gives you accurate accrual financials, automated and reconciled.
A2X for Shopify is designed for bookkeepers and accountants, to automate accounting and reconciliation for Shopify stores.
A2X is the missing piece connecting Xero and QuickBooks to your e-commerce sales channels, to streamline your back office and unlock opportunities in the e-commerce sector.
How A2X works
Get started easily using an A2X-provided standard set of accounts, or customize your mapping of Shopify transaction types to your preferred ledger accounts.
A2X posts summarized journals to the Xero or QuickBooks ledger using the invoice API; this shows up in Xero or QuickBooks as ‘invoices’, summarizing the transactions in your Shopify payouts.
A2X Reconciles Perfectly
Know that all your Shopify sales and fees are accounted for by reconciling to payouts received.
A2X posts as invoices to enable Xero and QuickBooks auto-reconciliation capability, so that when the Shopify payout amount appears in the bank feed, the amounts posted by A2X reconcile precisely to the bank statement.
Always reconcile. Rigorous reconciliation is core to A2X, to meet the exacting standards of professional accountants and bookkeepers. Accuracy is paramount.
Tidy up your books with A2X
A2X for Shopify can load past Shopify payouts, generating up to a year’s financial history. This enables A2X clients to go back to the start of their financial year and roll forward all their Amazon or Shopify transactions from that point using A2X for ‘clean’ books that reconcile.
Ideal for Shopify Plus
A2X scales to support the largest stores (great for smaller stores too)
Getting started with A2X
Connect to your Shopify store to A2X using your Shopify store URL, connect to Xero or QuickBooks, and either use a standard Shopify chart of accounts provided by A2X or set up your preferred mapping of Shopify and payment gateway transactions to your chart of accounts. I was using another app which was difficult to use. I had tried A2X with my Amazon Seller account and it was excellent - great documentation and helpful support. I switched my shopify store over and can report it works just as well with shopify!
This may be a good app, but it doesn't make the pricing clear until you get it installed and connected to your QB account. Then you find out everything you can't do until you pay for an A2X account in addition to your QB subscription. All it says on the Shopify App Store page is "free to install, Pricing tiers based on orders volume". Why not make the pricing clear from the beginning? I'll use something else that is upfront about their pricing.
Absolutely a time saver! I tried the official Xero integration and many other importing apps. If you sell volume on Shopify, a2x is the only app that works flawlessly.
