APO Product Options, Variants

8/6/19 - This application was working great up until a week ago. After submitting a help ticket, it took over a day to get a reply. Each email reply would take them the next day to reply and the issue is still not resolved even though we provided access to review our Apps and Orders. The "Upload" feature is not passing the file through to our Orders consistently. We can see the file path through the Shopify phone app, but nothing on the web version (we've tried multiple browsers from different PC's). Their troubleshooting effort is lacking. I get that it's probably people from overseas, but it's disappointing. Time to find another solution.

3/26/18 - After testing several different Apps, Advanced Product Options is the one we stuck to and here is why:

1. It is compatible on mobile devices (both iOS and Android). We ran into issues with other Apps in which the File Upload feature was not compatible.
2. It has the Calendar option. If you need a date in your options, this App has it.
3. It allows for Conditions on options. If you want to create options based on a previous option selected, this is a great App.
4. The pricing is reasonable. Most Apps fall into this price range, but for the features it provides as well as the support you get, it's worth it.

Hopefully this info helps in your selection process. There are a ton of great Apps out there, but you definitely need to test it out to make sure it fits your needs.

Best product options app out there, the support team are fantastic and have helped us with implementation and improving the way the app works on our website. The responses are really quick too, we usually get a response within the hour.

Their customer service is off the richter scale! I’ve used many apps and dealt with many wonderful developers / installs… but they blew them all out of the park! Immediate replies. Super fast installs and edits and everything I asked for was achieved. I’m one super happy customer and will certainly be spreading the word.

Has a ton of great features and options. I use the Debut theme and it integrated perfectly. Their customer support is excellent and VERY fast. They helped me every step of the way.

Brilliant app so far. Before choosing Advanced Product Options I first went to Bold Product Options after seeing all the reviews and customers using it. I don't usually badmouth other app providers but they were a terrible choice and I don't understand how they have so many customers when the service (for me anyway) was all over the place. One email request was responded to by about 5 different people, each asking 'How can I help?' when the first person already resolved the issue. This became confusing, cluttered up my email folder and just seemed very unprofessional.

Then there was the issue of intuitive functionality of the app itself. The app dashboard was confusing to navigate and the 'help' pages felt like I was reading an upsell WSL. A key element that was missing from the app was the option to change your product image to match the option you select on the product page. When I contacted support about this they referred me to a requests page where they would charge $1000 to put in a few lines of code for this option. They also had a cheaper option, where the request could be outsourced to a company called Storetasker so I went straight to them. They tried to charge me over $150.00 to put in these few lines of code which should have already been in the app.

I just said f*ck that noise and went to Advanced Product Options, and I'm glad I did. Their customer support is fantastic! Anjelika was very helpful and responsive to my requests and any issue I had was dealt with, fast. I wanted to add some custom code into my product options and they implemented it without hesitation. Dmitry was the coder I believe and he was extremely helpful when implementing my request. Everything I asked for he had no problem solving. I look forward to their update coming in March and will continue using their app in the future. Excellent app.

I use this app to help us provide customized options to our clients. The price was a deciding factor for us as well, allows us to do what we need without it having a high cost. I like that I am now able to indicate which options are out of stock. I gave this app 4 stars because there is always room for improvement. One option that would be great is if, once you select a customized option if that one disappeared and was replaced with the next question/option, otherwise the form becomes quite long and not as visually appealing. Other than that, the app is great.

The app is great and works very well. Absolutely recommended for those stores that need very customizable product options. But most of all I want to thank the support staff who responds very quickly and very efficiently to my request for some customization.

Great flexible app, customer support is fantastic as well. Answers and solutions within a day. Would recommend for anyone who needs more complex product variants than shopify offers.
