Advanced Shipping Manager

ASM has been a great tool for our business and has really streamlined our freight shipping. The team has also been fantastic to deal with and has taken all of our crazy ideas and turned them into reality!

Our store has a complex SKU and product fulfillment profile, and Advanced Shipping Manager has all the tools and functions that let us tailor our shipping to our business needs. The support that Burt and Dan provide is top-notch, and they are easy to reach and provide past support.

Excellent app which pays for itself tenfold through savings in shipping to remote regions which Shopify will not allow you to differentiate between here in the UK. Top class support - very impressed!

I can't say enough about Advanced Shipping Manager. We just started using it and it has been everything we have been looking for in a shipping app. ASM immediately solved our biggest headache when it came to shipping ... proper box selection. I can say without hesitation this app will more than pay for itself for us just by quoting shipping rates for the correct box. I am confident that with the 'points system' we will no longer have orders where we lose money on shipping because the rate was quoted on a smaller box than we actually had to use. The customer service has been great. Burt was very thorough in the on-boarding process. And, Dan has been tremendous to work with on a few follow up questions since implementation.

PRO's

1) Great communications buy their team and worked with me to get the issues resolved.
2) very cheap. Their plan may seem like a lot of money, BUT while others are charging less than half that, they DON'T tell you that they ALSO charge per calculation which can quickly add up to in my case $9000 per month.
3) Options. They provide multiple options for how to calculate the rates so that you aren't stuck with 1 way of working and have to figure out how that can work for you.
4) Work with LTL rates as well. while they don't work with my broker, they work with other brokers to get you live rates for LTL's as well.

CON's

When the rates started to timeout, it took a few days to figure out what the issue was and get it fixed, but they where straightforward and had great communication through the whole process. The only reason I am really mentioning this as a con is that I lost 10's of thousands of dollars in potential revenue in those few days.

Conclusion.

If you want to give your customers the most accurate shipping rates without worrying about cost and have a great team to work with, then you should use ASM.

This has been the best, most flexible shipping app for my company. We ship nearly all our items in their own, unique shipping cartons. Each one has a different size and we have thousands of items. We need customers paying the correct rate for shipping, and this has been the only app that easily and consistently handles it. For us the crucial functionality this app provides is:
1. Ability to designate a product to ship in multi-box shipments and provide weights/dims for each box.
2. Ability to designate a product to "ship alone" so it is rated for it's own shipping label
3. Ability to have some shipping methods ignore dimensions in the shipping rate calculation.
4. Ability to add markups or designate free shipping at the product level.
Nothing else out there handles all of this. Additionally, support has been very helpful and even put in place some customizations for us since we have a few non-standard shipping rules.
