Aftersell Post Purchase Upsell

Support is great, but the functionality of the app is lacking. I would like to see more flexibility with upsell styling and formatting. I would also like to see a proper mode to A/B test full upsell funnels instead of just upsells within a funnel.

I feel like the upsell options are more designed for impulse purchases based on discounts instead of actual thoughtful flows

Aftersale is really good, but has some limitations. Though it may be the case that these limitations are caused by Shopify and not the app. However, their customer support is excellent. Michelle on live chat was particularly good.

My experience with Jam was great. In spite of not being possible what i wanted, she managed to find a good solution.

I spent almost two hours troubleshooting my upsell setup, and there were a few frustrating moments, especially when a real customer order was modified during testing without my approval.
That said, the support team (Mark and Dom) stayed with me the entire time and helped get everything fully resolved.
They were patient, responsive, and made sure the final setup works smoothly.
Great support overall, but I’d love to see more caution around live orders.

Updating this review from 1-star to a 4-star because support has been very helpful lately with post-purchase upsells. They have a new beta feature that enables swapping upsell products with the original order, which is great for package size variants (upgrading a customer from a 10-pack to a 30-pack, for example).

Their product page upsell interface has improved as well. See my original review below.

The product page upsells have never allowed for me to make manual upsells.

Only the automatic product selection works, which doesn't allow for me to pair specific products together for a product page upsell. The automatic upsells don't always make sense to offer, so having the ability
to manually choose products to pair is important.

I have reached out to support several times about this over the past several weeks and get strung along time after time with zero support. No urgency or care given to provide support and I have been using this app for months.

Good app for setting up after-purchase flows really fast. The A/B testing feature is great since we test a lot!

This app does a lot and it is really great to be able to upsell people at the point after they have made a purchase, rather than before which could actually result in orders being cancelled. The only issue with the app is that it is not terribly intuitive and there are some things you just wouldn't be able to work out without consulting the help desk. I have to say that the help desk team are very helpful and have resolved every question that I have had to my compete satisfaction. I'd really recommend this app as the best one to increase average order, it can take a little while to get your head around it, but it's worth it.

When I first started using AfterSell, I had a really negative experience with their support team using AI generated responses and taking 3+ months to address my issue. As I understand they had changed hands and were working out some kinks, so I connected with them at a bad time. Since then I've given it another shot and their support has been more helpful and able to address my issues, and everything has been working smoothly. I'm pleased with the app at this point and recommend it as long as they keep their support in good shape :)

UPDATE 2: The support team was very responsive and has been working actively to help resolve the issues.

UPDATE: Changing my review to 1 star. I have noticed a huge degradation in performance of this app especially with load times. When viewing analytics something always breaks and the app crashes or gets stuck in infinite load. Same happens when updating or creating funnels. In the last 3-4 months, there has not been 1 time where I have used this app and the screen hasn't been stuck on loading or just outright crashing during the session.

Great support. Heard back and was able to get set up by Dhruv on their team within minutes of reaching out on a Sunday. The UI/UX of the app is amazing as well!
