Aircada ‑ Product Configurator

Amazing product and even better service and support. Developed a pretty in-depth customizer for a product on my website and it functions exactly how I wanted it to.

We’re handling ~500 variants and several add-ons with this 3D customizer. Zero complaints. It’s connected to one of our native products and the variants synced up without much hassle to the configurator's custom 3D engraving, logo uploads, and about a dozen custom color option sets. Load time is in the green and I’ve yet see it drop below 60 fps on the phone. All that to say Aircada has done a solid job with both the 3D aspect but even more so integrating it into shopify to not feel like some frankenstein creation we experienced with a few of the other custom apps. And shoutout to the founder brother duo Sean and Wylie. Good dudes.

We sell custom kites and have been in this business for decades. Our kites have been used by Sir Richard Branson when he, his family and friend achieved 3 Guinness World Records. Naturally, our brand has a very high standard for both physical quality and how we portray that online. With so many customers wanting to upload their artwork to our kites we decided it was time to streamline this on the site. Our traffic is primarily mobile so we needed an interactive 3D customiser experience that would be intuitive to use with just a pair of thumbs.

We brought in Aircada to turn our vision into a production-ready 3D product configurator and these guys crushed it. The configurator’s UI/UX guides the customer from point a -> point b -> checkout yet feels unique in a way that emphasises our brand. Not an easy thing to do.

The killer feature is we let the customer upload artwork to the top and bottom fabric of the kite. The realism is what got us. When you drop a custom image onto the kite, it wraps around the fabric creases and raised areas like you're holding the physical product. Some of the custom product builders we’ve tinkered with in the past didn’t seem to nail this aspect but Aircada’s visual engine has handled it the best we’ve seen hence this review. Huge shoutout to the team for building a 3D product customiser that feels as sturdy as our kites.
