Variant Alt Text King: SEO

I installed the Alt Text King app expecting it to handle variants properly, since the description clearly suggests you can use {{ variant }} in templates. In reality, it only works for a single “main variant image.” If you want full functionality for variant alt text, you’re pushed to install and pay for their other app (Variant Image).

This feels misleading. The app is advertised as if it supports variants, but in practice it does not unless you buy an extra add-on. When I raised this, support tried to upsell me the second app, then offered a “6 months free” deal after I called it out.

Alt Text King is incomplete on its own. If you need proper variant support, you’ll end up paying more. Not what I expect from a professional Shopify app provider.
