A Huge Time Saver – Highly Recommend!
AltText.ai was exactly what I needed! It helped me quickly find and fill in all the missing alt text on my Shopify store’s images—something that would have taken me hours to do manually. What used to be a tedious and time-consuming process became fast and effortless. The app is easy to use and incredibly helpful, especially for improving accessibility and SEO. I highly recommend it to any store owner looking to clean up their image alt text without the headache.
One of those great apps that just works and does exactly what it says it's going to and does it well! The ai generated alt tag text is accurate and informative - processed just under 2000 images for us in about 20mins! I was genuinely impressed with this app – it’s incredibly easy to use and delivers exactly what it promises. Within about an hour of signing up, I was able to update alt text for 1,500 greeting card and gift images for my rural gifting business, www.countrysidegreetings.co.uk. A task that would have taken me weeks was completed effortlessly.
I reviewed several of the generated alt tags and found the descriptions to be highly accurate. I’m optimistic this will lead to improved store rankings in the coming weeks. The total cost was $55 – without question, the best value I’ve received from any app I’ve purchased.

Bulk option from a product list does nothing. New/edited products are picked up but a lot of alt tags are not cleaned properly. Here are examples:

Bulk generation should definitely work from the product list, and alt text quality can be fine-tuned with prompt and style settings — it looks like some fine-tuning is what’s falling flat here. If that wasn’t clear, that’s something we need to improve.
