We have been using this application for the past year and it has been a great tool! Integration is easy, and the technical support team is extremely helpful. One of the cleanest and simplest out of stock tool you can use for your site.
Great app and awesome service! Helps tracking the demand and helps with production projection and how much to order as well.
I've been using Back In Stock since day one. Of ALL the apps I use, this one matters the most. We are a small business, we make products in small batches, so we are always out of stock. This saves a ton of time because the notifications are automatic. More importantly it pays for itself in sales because I collect emails through the notifications form and don't lose out on sales. PLUS, their customer support team is on point. I message them all the time with questions and requests, they get back to me quickly every time. They are a critical partner in our business' success.
Such a great app! It gives me insights in what my customer want to get back in stock! Wish it remained free forever o:-)
This app is great - we chose it because it will batch send based on inventory vs. the number of notification (so you don't send way too many notifications when only a small amount of inventory comes back in stock). We are seeing great revenue from an app that requires almost no maintenance once it's installed!
It's also super easy to exclude products or toggle notifications on and off per product using a simple tag in Shopify.
Finally, I recently had to reach out to their support team to help us manually move notifications to a new SKU for the same product - I have never received such helpful and prompt response from a support team on a Shopify App.

Love this app! Because of this app we have more sales and we don't need to email all customers. Great customer service aswell! Great support!!
It's not the cheapest out of stock app but it's definitely the best. We tested many of them out and decided on this one, even though it cost the most. The adage you get what you pay for is really true when it comes to these apps. Our monthly ROI surpasses the price we pay for this app. We also required a few custom modifications and support was super quick and helpful!
Very easy to set up, had great structure and layout and worked immediately with our Shopify theme (Focal). I didn't give it 5 stars due to the inability to customize the button on the product page, which I feel should be part of the total solution. As our company is based in Norway, I would have also liked to be able to set the default country code to Norway such that the visiting customer doesn't have to browse to find their country code. However, I reached out to support and they gave me excellent help in tweaking this.
Therefore from a support perspective 5 stars, but 4 from a product perspective.

I have a custom theme which also includes a "back in stock notification". I thought it was working perfectly, but later realized that almost all of my notifications were going "unread" (and mostly winding up in my customer's junk/spam folders). Not much point in sending notifications if customers don't see them.
I tried just about every "back in stock" notification available but none of them worked well enough for my strict standards.
Finally I gave this app a try. "Out of the box" it worked flawlessly. (Most of all customers were actually receiving my notifications). I did a lot of testing for this app to make sure it was perfect for me. Well before my trial period was up I had already decided that this app will be part of my store permanently. I had a little trouble getting it to look just the way I wanted, but the customer support I received from James was fast and very professional. Their support worked with me tirelessly and eagerly until I got it PERFECT. It looks like it was made just for my custom theme. I have over 300 products in my store and I manage everything myself. Since my products are "perishable", I have to keep a small inventory so that I can provide the freshest products with the longest expiration dates. Even though I restock almost daily, I was still missing sales because of even one day that and item was out of stock. This app solved my problem. I saw sales from the first day I used it.
The "dashboard" is also very useful. I can see which customers are after which items, this really helps me set my limits for inventory.
The price is competitive, especially if you consider "you get what you pay for". This app performs very well, customers actually receive the notifications, support is outstanding and it can be customized to fit your theme perfectly. I give five stars without hesitation.
