Very useful app. Simply to use. Does a good job for a weekly backup.

Set up was a breeze. Does its job automatically and without any problems. I can't give it 5 stars as I haven't had to use it yet to restore any backed up files, so I don't know if it truly works. Great knowing that if my files get deleted they will (hopefully) be an easy backup restore away. Another reviewer mentioned that it unhid 'hidden' products once activated. That has not been the case with our store.

Rated as 4 stars because have not had to use it to restore my Shopify store. Have restored from a backup on a previous store and using the server vendor's backup. It worked, but needed the assist of the staff at the vendor. Rewind backs up on demand and as scheduled and gives a notification after the scheduled backup. Don't understand why Shopify does not do this, but glad to pay Rewind to give me piece of mind.

nice idea for backups but totally flawed in the fact that you cant download an offline copy of the backup.

Anyone know whos has dealt with sensitive data over time that leaving your data and backups down to a system out of your hands is basic bad practice.

Also the app is expensive at $5 every month, thats $60 per year or $300 over 5 years - a hell of alot more than very high quality software which is a time purchase. I do not agree with the ongoing payment system these apps suck you into - over time they end up costing a ridiculous amount of money for what you get.

If offline backups were available and the app was a one time payment , would prob get 5 stars, until then its 2 stars.

We do allow customers to download offline copies of their backups. Contact us at help@rewind.io and request an export of your data - we're happy to provide that to paying customers who have been with us for 6 months or more.

We learned the hard way about the need of Shopify store owners to back up their data. I thought that Shopify had backups of our entire website. Nope. We experienced major data loss yesterday when we went to sync new software with our Shopify store. Something went wrong and HUNDREDS of product descriptions and prices were lost. Some products were now showing up on the website on sale for $0.00! When we inquired with Shopify about restoring from a backup, we learned that Shopify only backs up your website -- the theme and structure -- but that we are responsible for backing up our own data, such as product pages, customers, orders, etc. As a result of this disaster, we had to shut our website down while we tried to figure out how to restore what was lost. We lost almost two days worth of revenue. After many long hours of work, we were able to finally restore most of what was lost, but the first thing I did the next day was to research our options for backing up our data on a regular basis, and that's when I discovered Rewind. I signed up for the trial early the next morning. I emailed with a question, and promptly got a response. I was impressed. Well-written in perfect English, no less! One question led to another, then Alex from Rewind called me and walked me through my problem and showed me how easy it is to restore lost data with Rewind, whether it's restoring a single product, or multiple records in bulk. I learned that they have customer support hours from 8 a.m. till midnight Eastern time. Fantastic! When I explained more about our business, Alex was able to offer flexible pricing options that weren't obvious on their website, and to bundle my two Shopify stores together. Both my websites are completely backed up now and will automatically back up daily going forward. I honestly can't believe how uninformed and unprotected I was before we experienced massive data loss. I will sleep better tonight knowing that my data is safely stored with Rewind. Thank you Alex and team! As I told you earlier today, you guys are awesome!

The app works as described, Paul and Annie seem very willing to give attention to their users. In a highly competitive world riddled with terrible customer service, the team at Rewind shines as a bright exception. I will be using this app for my many stores in the future.

Have not had to use it yet but nice to know it's there. Rating is 4 star as not tested. Back-up is essential - would not have a website without it, after all the work to put it together.
