Writing this review because of the above and beyond additional service their team has provided to making this app work for us. Mergify has been a game changer for us to allow post-purchase upsell orders merge with their original order so that we can save almost double on our shipping COGS. We had a few deep technical issues that Mergify took the time to help by writing extra code within their app to accommodate. We've seen a significant profit lift by utilizing Mergify alongside a post-purchase upsell program, increasing our AOV while maintaining low shipping costs.

First of all, I don't understand the high praises in the other reviews for "great support". Took them two days to answer back to a simple question. I can't imagine quick support when needed.
Anyway, after the initial install, I tried my first merge! Exciting, looking forward to saving some time. Well, I decided to merge 5 orders. The system worked well, merged all orders created a NEW order for everything and archived previous orders. BUT IT RECHARGED MY CLIENT FOR ALL THE ORDERS AGAIN.... it was close to a 500$ Charge.
ALSO, for those of you using Shopify capital, and making payments, this will also create a NEW order that they will also take another payment for even though, it was already paid for in the initial order... Something to keep in mind.
I'm waiting for support to answer back and will update this review if needed in future... As of now Ièm looking forward to uninstalling the app ASAP.

Thanks for your feedback. We did reach out privately and explained the issues to you. I hope you can find the time to update your review as you said in your response.
We do believe the points about charging the customer and Shopify Capital are not correct. We did answer these concerns before the review was written in the first place.
The orders created by Mergify do not have real transactions on them. Mergify CANNOT charge customers again. The transactions on the merged order are meant to give merchants a general view of the aggregated payment status. They are not placed by the customer.
As for Shopify Capital, by default, Mergify creates merged orders in test mode. Test orders have a warning banner on the top of the page that says: "Test order. Your payment gateway was in test mode when this order was created". You can read more about the test orders here: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/checkout-settings/test-orders
Since test orders are meant for testing, they're ignored by Shopify.
Edit: Issue with this app was on my network side, after their support reached out to me they help me figure out the issue. Great app and support highly recommend!

I really appreciate the customer support! We already had a few errors when merging our orders, but after we addressed them, they were able to fix the issues super quickly and the problems haven't happened since. I can recommend this app!
