setting up the app is a PIA. every time i try to do something on the webiste for set up i have to sign in. There is no indication that my work has been saved. looking for a replacement.

You shouldn’t need to sign in repeatedly via the Shopify admin panel, you will stay signed in once you have logged in to your Shopify admin account.
And we’re improving the save button for better clarity.
I noticed your Contact Form is still active and working well.

So far, so good! I switched over from another contact form because an increasing number of folks were reaching out to me on facebook saying they were unable to find contact information on my website. I hope this switch fixes that problem. I was able to get it to work quickly, and it's appearing across all my devices, but since it has only been installed for an hour or so, I haven't received any messages yet ;-)
update years later in 2024: I've had a great experience using Zotabox, so far! The EU cookies notification feature is what drew me there initially, but have found the customizable contact form and the alert pop-ups very helpful, too. Thanks!
It is very easy to use. I am not good with computer things but this was simple and the perfect solution for my store www.kerstins-nature-products.myshopify.com. And another plus - it's free. Thank you for making this app available
