please stop asking for a review over and over or the review you get will not be favorable for your needs

I wanted for this app to work. In essence it's exactly what I was looking for. HOWEVER, there are so many glitches, page freezes, text discrepancies, issues with blocks, and the like that it's taken me weeks to create about two paragraphs, and I still can't finish this.

Even after asking for support, and getting minor feedback, the issues persist.

If Blog Studio can fix the constant issues, page crashes, app freezing, etc. I may consider revisiting, but for now, it's just not worth it and I still don't have a completed blog post. Definitely not a five star review but here's my five faces of frustration

Very glitchy and not thought out. Also not that straight forward and pretty basic. Cant just add text in its shape and form like, it makes you think that you can "move up and down" the text box but in reality nothing moves. Or at one point it did, press "Move up" the whole thing actually moved down. If you add a photo and a text next to it, the photo moved once the text gets longer and you cannot resize it place it elsewhere its even get distorted hence saying Glitchy!!! For super basic things...maybe it would work.

The idea was good but .... To create an article, you have to convert it? Sometimes 3 or 4 times before being able to edit it, without risking to delete the duplicates at the risk of losing everything, which is perfectly unreadable... You spend hours editing an article with the right formatting, everything gets reformatted without warning... Once on the editing of an article, you change the slightest comma and my PC suffers major slowdowns (even though it is very powerful), the application slows down up to 30 seconds sometimes, it's just unmanageable... Message sent to support but no response... What a shame...

I debated between a lot of different blog apps, and many I eliminated right away because they effectively discouraged heavy use of the blogging functionality by putting "unlimited pages" behind a very expensive paywall. Others, were barely functional. Many were barely functional "AND" had an expensive paywall.
I chose Blog Studio because most importantly, it allowed me to create blog posts that looked similar to very popular sites like Wired.com. Success breeds clues right?
And it works! Of course I started out pretty mediocre in my ability to composite blog posts, but each post came out better than the last, by the third post, I really felt comfortable in being able to make a professional looking blog post like what "I" enjoy reading.
But I encountered a weird glitch, not sure where it came from, I couldn't see YouTube videos. I talked with support, and they actually went in and fixed my theme. My theme not from them (actually paid theme from the shopify store, Artisan). Wow!
I'm beyond impressed, not just because I got what I asked for, a great blog writing toolset to make me look more professional and hopefully expand my reading base, but because of what I didn't ask and didn't know i needed, a great team providing quick and responsive tech support going above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks Mandy, you and the rest of the blog studio team are the best!

So far, so good. I can insert blocks, and create very custom blog posts that look great on any device. However, the app suffers from the restriction of inserting its code into the theme's template. So, for example, if you want a full-width layout, and the theme's blog post template only has a 50% centered layout, you'll need custom CSS to get it to look the way you want it to look. But that is not a fault on this app. This app works as intended, so far. Just be aware of the limitations. I used flowzy's custom CSS plugin to add the additional CSS. I wish there were a way to easily add related products into blog posts. Right now, it's very hacky and not automated.

Not happy with this app. It does not work very well and designing decent blog posts is a nightmare. There are SO many bugs and just adding new sections doesn't work?! Do not waste your money on this one.

After toying with the new Blog Studio update, I am happy to say that the steep learning curve was 100% worth it.
Admittedly, it took my team & me around 6 weeks to learn the new update, but now that we got the hang of it, it is excellent. A few tips:
1. Blog Studio works differently with different Shopify store themes. Some pre-made blocks work, some don't, but overall it's a much better alternative to the native Shopify editor.
2. If a pre-made block isn't displaying correctly, toy with the smaller, grey (+) sign within the box to make your own block. This has really helped us.
3. The updated desktop/mobile preview function doesn't work most of the time. Instead, just shrink your browser window the mobile size and you'll be able to see what it looks like on mobile.
4. The preview within the editor doesn't always reflect what a blog post will actually look like, and sometimes the live view takes a few minutes to display any changes. To avoid this, click 'Save', then click 'Preview Draft'. This will reflect any changes made immediately.
5. DO NOT edit any Blog Studio articles in the native Shopify editor, even if you're just adding tags. This will throw the whole article off. Just make sure all edits are made within Blog Studio.
6. Also, make sure that one person is in Blog Studio at a time. I noticed sometimes if more than one person is editing the same or a different article at the same time, it will confuse the app and throw all formatting off.
7. Start every blog post from scratch. Using saved templates just leads to frustration.
8. Play with the settings within a block. (The little gear icon within a block.) You can really get down to the nitty-gritty once you learn all of the capabilities.
9. Don't be afraid to upgrade the article if you have to. No major changes will happen.
10. The saved buttons feature is great to save time. That's about it off the top of my head. In summary, this app is great, especially if you put out a lot of content, but just know that it has a lot of bugs that need to be worked through. It can be very frustrating to learn how to use the app, and if you're an agency, learning how the app interacts with different themes can be challenging as well.
However, the features and capability for customization are great once you learn how to do it, and this is the only Shopify app that doesn't charge you per new page created.
So stick through the tough learning curve, talk with live chat (they're great), and you'll be happy you did.

Not happy with this app at all. There is a bug in the app and when I send a message they tell me to convert it but I have to convert it 10 times before the app actually opens

The video makes it look easy. click and drag. nope. there is a whole section that is nonresponsive and doesn't work. so the way I gotta add blocks is only one way. very frustrating. the only reason i have it is because i need blogs on my site but i def would not recommend using this one. pickings are kind of slim so you just use whatever you find. good luck.

This could have been a lot better but it has so many bugs making it useless. I would prefer writing my blog on Ms Word instead. Not recommended.

Great app think everyone need to utilize it to create a network of supporters around your Shopify brand

They mean what they say. Really brilliant app. I had failed to customise my default shopify blog but Blog Studio made everything easy. My content is now ranking in the local search results in my country. Generally, it is a massive tool.

This app helps me make my blogs more visually interesting. The only problem i have is sometimes the fonts dont seem to work.

So far so good! Has lots of options to drag and drop into the blog setup so you are really able to make each article what you want it to be and look like!

This app has literally changed my life, it has taken my website to a whole new level, I couldn't be more obsessed

Really excellent support; these folks have stuck with us during the entire trial to help get a few problems worked out and have been nothing but patient the entire time. The app itself produces beautiful blog posts and allows us to make our previously somewhat odd looking blog look awesome.

Very functional and easy to use with a drag and drop system. Totally worth it to make our blogs look the way we want.

Great app. Easy to use and navigate. Lots of add on options in editor. A couple more templates would and maybe an option to add you own videos, but other than that, highly recommended.

I used this app to help convey a message to my audience in a fun and interesting manner by incorporating images and video to break up the text and the keep the audience engaged. It is user friendly and easy to learn. It is diverse and provides a lot of tools to not only convey your message but all connect with your audience. I think is can also be used as an effective sales tool.

Just started using the app and as far as i can tell the app is pretty easy and simple to use & support team is quick and very helpfull :)
There is still some functions that are missing to be even more practicle like there's no "text wrap" formatting setting but still getting to know the app

It's a convenient app and easy to use. However, I am having issues with accessing the image editor to adjust the image I want to use for my post. Other than that, it's a very useful app.

Great idea, but unfortunately I had spent alot of time (and made sure I frequently saved) but every time I would back out of the hidden article, it would tell me I was in legacy mode (even though all of my branding font etc was present) and I needed to upgrade the article. It then duplicates the content and updates it with the correct styling, though it deleted alot of the duplicated content. Luckily I did save all of my text but I would suggest fixing it and letting customers know if the store so that I know. I attempted to publish but that did not solve the issue.

It is very convenient and useful. I was having issues with editing my blogs but now I can write and publish in a better way.

Great product and incredible support. Had a CSS issue and they logged in and helped alleviate this.

We wanted to find a blog template app because the Shopify app, although terrific as a cart, is limited in the styles offered for a blog. We found Blog Studio and honestly cannot be more pleased. It was a touch-and-go experience for the first post because of the learning curve (it's easy, and we only blame ourselves for being on the slow side!), but with the customer service received, we are super impressed. The rep who walked us through it all with incredible patience (Mandy) was great. Thank you for putting out a good product and for having such competent, efficient, and courteous representatives.

Wow, I was looking everywhere for a way to upload articles on Shopify and make them look presentable. Unfortunately, I had no success until I found this gem. Totally worth the money, your articles will look gorgeous! One thing they can improve is allowing you to easily link within the article.

This app has given me the flexibility to be really creative with my blogs. Once you get to grips with it the possibilities are endless! I love the integration of pictures, videos and products. Really happy with it!

I was looking to take posts from my external Community site and get them into my main site so that it would improve SEO. I tried doing this within my existing store template, but the format looked awful without doing extensive coding myself. So, I turned to Blog Studio. However, the promise of Blog Studio providing better formatting/UX than the default one from my template turned out to be only marginally better.

It's still better than the default blog format that I have to work with, so I'll probably continue to use it. But, I had hoped that the Blog Studio look and feel would take precedence over whatever was there in the shop template I'm using. That doesn't seem to be the case.

I already had one blog on my site but, I was able to edit and make changes. I have just started using this app., so let's see what I think in the next week or so. I will be back with more update.

From the very first blog post using Blog Studio, it instantly made it more beautiful, flowing, and eye-catching! I am not tech savvy, so it is taking me a minute to adjust, but it is all very well worth it to have a beautiful site. The customer service from Alan was out of this world, and responded immediately to my problem, and solved it for me. Couldn't recommend the app (and Alan!) enough!

This apps really helps me a lot in doing my blogs. A highly recommended apps for everyone especially for those who have no idea how to create a blog's design.
