Not impressed at all with this. The app is extremely simplistic in reality. By "fixing alt texts" for example, all it does is duplicate your page title across all images for a product. This duplication would just get you down ranked. It would at least have been useful to add context or some kind of structure to the auto generated alt texts, but control is limited.
It also messed up my meta title and descriptions which I had written myself for every one of my 500+ products. Downgrading my plan undid some of the damage, but I still have a lot to fix now.
Support is also laughable. Very unimpressed with this simplistic and overpriced app. Not a scam, but not far off.

Darrel here from Booster SEO. I want to sincerely apologize for the issues you've encountered and thank you for your feedback.
I understand the frustration with the app's AutoPilot feature not automating everything. Just to clarify, what our app does is use your Product title as the Meta title and Product description as the Meta description by default or if you use the "Let the app decide" option on the AutoPilot page. The idea is that you already have the proper keyword in your Product Title and Description, the main keyword will be your Product Title(since your product title should have the best keyword that describes your product) and in the event that keyword is not in your meta description then the app will let you know that it needs to be added on your product description manually so that it'll be updated in the meta description coming from our app. Our app does do a lot automatically through its AutoPilot features, but some SEO involves keyword-optimizing the visible content of your pages (such as your product descriptions), and our app never does that automatically, for two reasons:
- Google is quite good at detecting (and penalizing) when an app has automatically generated page content, so our app avoids it.
- As an expert in your industry, you are the best judge of what keywords are best and how they should be written into your content, so our app gives you guidance on where keywords are missing but leaves the writing up to you.
Regarding our app's alt-text feature just using the Product title, just like with the meta title and meta description, by default the app will use the Product title and your Store's name for the alt tags. It is designed this way since the best practice for alt tags is to describe the image in three to five words that include your focus keywords, and that keyword will come from your product title.
As you can see, the app relies heavily on your product title for keywords since the product title should be the keyword or contains the keyword that best describes your product. If you don't want to use the app's default setting for alt tags, meta titles, and meta descriptions, it does provide an option to use other templates. The guide was also sent to you via email.

Since installing this app the features have not worked how they are meant to. I was told images would sync within 48 hours of installing and two weeks on still no sync.
Raised a ticket and was given a generic response:
"The delay is due to factors like the queue of other accounts syncing, the number of products in a store, and Shopify's server load. This is an isolated issue, and the rest of the app's features are functioning properly."
They said to wait and wanted to resolve the ticket. I had to argue to keep the ticket open UNTIL the ticket is actually resovled, not prematurely.
TBH quite over the product that fails in its primary functions.
Not to mention it duplicates the "Product" meta field even though this is a core element in Shopify already.

Regarding the duplication of the "Product" meta field, the "Duplicate field: brand" warning appears because both our app and your theme define a brand field, which Google identifies. Our app includes this field as part of the "Google Snippets" feature, which allows Google to generate rich results for your store in search outcomes. To address this, you have two options:
1. Disable the "Google Snippets" feature by navigating to the "Google Snippets" tab in our app.
2. We can remove or disable the "brand" field from our app's code.
In your specific case, you reached out to us for guidance on which part of our code to disable, and we provided the necessary information in a separate ticket.
Your case remains open and is marked as "in progress." We are coordinating with our engineering team to prioritize and expedite a fix for the image compression delays and addressing the meta field duplication concern to prevent unnecessary duplications.

Horrible Plugin, Installed it and spent almost 3 hours upgrading to Premium it said it was approved and all good but we never got the Features. Contacted admin they could not do anything keep saying the same. like a broken record. So the support chat is there but for no good.
Don't waste your time, this plugin is buggy, and when it has issues at the fundament level imagine what issues it has under the hood in the code
Will not recommend this to anybody
The application is not working. Contacted support, they told me to wait 48 hours. Everything is still not resolved. After many days of contact, the answer was still mechanical. I approved the 69 usd per month plan. Ridiculous. Lots of good reviews for the app. But am I not the only user? Cheap.

I REMOVED YOUR APP WHY DID YOU STILL CHARGE ME? I WANT THE 55.00 REFUNDED ASAP. I read in another review "To cancel your trial period, you just need to simply uninstall the app in your Shopify admin before your trial runs out. Uninstalling the app from your store will effectively cancel your subscription." THAT IS UNTRUE. I uninstalled the app and it charged me 55.00 anyway.

Forget this guys. Just by uninstalling their app they messed up my Shopify metadata, head and description, it was magically gone.
Didn't even leave like it as it was before. Shame on them.

Update: The app created duplicate issues in Google Console. The automated "SEO" is really anyones guess. There's no way to see what has been done. I'd prefer to have control over what action is being taken rather than fly blind

This app comes with a free trial. There was no indication of how to successfully cancel the membership before the trial period ended. We spent over 30 minutes looking for how to communicate our wishes and how to change our subscription to no avail. Misleading to consumer and actually a waste of our time.
