Don't waste your money like I did. Paid for this for over 6 months. Better and cheaper apps else where. They try to keep you paying by saying they will delete all the fixes if you delete it.
Hi there,
Thank you for your honest feedback, and I’m sorry to hear that your experience with Booster SEO has been disappointing.
I wanted to clarify that when Booster SEO is uninstalled, app-managed SEO changes such as meta tags, structured data, and other app-specific optimizations are removed because Shopify apps generally cannot leave behind app-managed SEO code after removal, and doing so could create conflicts with future apps or outdated SEO settings over time. This is standard practice across most SEO apps on Shopify, and was never intended as a way to force continued billing.
The only changes that remain are image alt texts and URL redirects, as these are stored directly within Shopify and are far less likely to create conflicts later on.
I understand how this may have come across, and I’m sorry if this was not explained clearly enough.
I’ve also sent you a direct email so we can discuss this further and hopefully make things right for you.
Best regards,
Lester
We paid for Booster SEO for 8 months thinking our SEO templates (image alt text, meta titles, meta descriptions) were working. The app constantly showed everything as “100% optimized,” but after investigating we realized none of the changes were actually being applied to our store.
Our product images had no alt text, and the meta tags we thought were active were never pushed to the frontend. Essentially, we were paying for months for something that wasn’t working at all.
After uninstalling the app and contacting support, they refunded only one month. Unfortunately, that doesn’t come close to covering the time and money lost.
Very disappointing experience.
Hi there,
Lester here from Booster SEO Tier 2 Support. First of all, I sincerely apologize for the confusion you experienced.
After reviewing your case more carefully with our team, we found that the issue appears to be related to the image file name when downloading images, which is separate from the image alt text used for SEO purposes. The alt text template configured in the app is correctly applied and visible to search engines.
We also completed a technical audit of your storefront and confirmed that the meta titles and descriptions generated by the app are correctly injecting into your site’s code. If older metadata is still appearing in your browser tab, it is most likely due to browser or CDN caching, which can temporarily display outdated information. It could also be related to custom code from your theme or another app.
We’ve sent you an email so we can review everything with you in more detail and work toward a resolution together. Please feel free to reply there anytime, and we’ll be happy to assist further.
Best regards,
Lester
I never leave bad reviews. But upon relying on this service, my site fell apart. The automatic AI reviews said the entirely wrong things - saying my fashion e-commerce store sold fishing tackle. Was entirely different product. And mentioned different brands and categories.
Hi Shannon,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us and for bringing this to our attention.
I have personally conducted a full audit of your store and I can confirm that everything is now working correctly as those incorrect tags have been purged. Technically, our AI experienced a rare logic error—a type of hallucination that can sometimes occur even with advanced models—which is why we provide a "Regenerate with AI" option to allow for manual refreshes when the first pass isn't perfect.
This is the first time we’ve seen this specific conflict, and we have already updated our filters to ensure these irrelevant terms cannot be generated for your store again.
I've already sent you an email so we can chat more about the technical steps we've taken and how we can support you properly to turn this experience around.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Best regards,
Pat

Practically, it is not working. Even after 4 days, it still showed that the analysis of my store was in progress, and most of the features were still not active. Even after talking with support, nothing changed — it was just a waste of time.
Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear that your experience with Booster SEO has been frustrating.
I wanted to clarify that the behavior you encountered was related to the initial product data import and synchronization process that takes place before certain features can become fully available. For larger stores, this process can take longer than expected, which can make it appear as though features are not active even while the setup is still running in the background.
I completely understand how waiting several days without seeing the functionality you expected could be disappointing, and I’m sorry for any confusion this may have caused.
I’ve sent you a direct email so we can discuss your specific case in more detail and continue working toward a resolution.
Best regards,
Lester
The system is terrible and the support is awful. They promise the world and underdeliver. I cancelled during the trial and still got charged and now they won't respond to messages. Avoid downloading this app because it does more harm than good! The auto pilot changed good meta titles, descriptions and URL's and made them so basic it was like a 6 year old had done it. The auto pilot was also making a lot of my products NOINDEX so they weren't showing in search results. In the end i had to disable a lot of the features and then delete the app. The amount of time i have had to spend sorting out the issues this app created is extensive- not worth it.
Hi there,
We’re very sorry for the experience you had. The issues you encountered were related to a recent update that affected a small number of stores, and we completely understand how frustrating that must have been.
To clarify, the “noindex” concern was a display issue within the app’s SEO Audit section only and was never applied to your live pages or source code. That said, we understand how alarming that appeared, which is why we treated this as urgent and this has now been fully resolved.
We’ve also recently made improvements to our AI optimizations to address the behavior you described.
We’ve reached out to you via email so we can work with you directly and help resolve any remaining concerns. We’d really appreciate the opportunity to make this right.
Best regards,
Lester

Terrible service. Been paying for this app for 1yr giving them the benefit of doubt while nothing gets done and chat bots seem just to be pretending to look into why it doesn’t work. Complete scam and waste of money
Hi there,
Pat here from Booster SEO Tier 2 Support. I’m truly sorry to hear about your experience, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.
I reviewed our previous interactions and noticed that we’ve been sending collaborator requests each time you reached out so we could securely access your store and investigate the issues you reported. Without confirmation that these requests were accepted, we’re unable to perform a complete review or troubleshoot effectively.
Regarding your SEO concerns, Booster SEO implements on-page improvements immediately, such as meta tags, structured data, and alt text, which help search engines crawl and index your pages. However, measurable results in rankings and visibility, including Google Maps, typically take four to six months because Google evaluates structured data, indexes pages gradually, and considers off-page signals like backlinks, which are outside the app’s control.
That said, we are fully committed to assisting you. I’ve also sent you an email with further guidance on accepting the collaborator request so we can start a detailed review and help ensure your SEO setup is functioning optimally.
Thank you for your patience and for bringing this to our attention.
Best regards,
Pat

I cancelled the APP on December 17th, they billed me for it on December 18th.......
Hi LongSkisTruck,
I'm sorry to hear that you got charged recently.
However, upon checking Shopify's records, this appears to be a valid charge since the billing period for the said charge was for November 18 to December 18, 2025. Like what you mentioned, you canceled on the 17th of December or the day before your plan renews again(18th), which means you won't get charged anymore for future billing periods like the December 18 to January 18, 2026 bill, and so on. Like all subscription plans, it is postpaid, which means you are billed for the service after you use it.
Please note that these charges are done automatically by Shopify's system as they take care of all billing processes on behalf of third-party apps like ours, and this does not require our intervention at all. We're only able to process appropriate refunds/credits on our end.
That said, we always aim to be considerate of our valued users. As a courtesy, we’ve gone ahead and processed a full refund of this charge for your store. You should see the refunded amount reflected in your payment account within 3–5 business days.
We also sent you emails regarding this concern of yours, but it looks like you haven't read them yet. If you can't find them in your inbox, we suggest checking your spam folder.
We wish you and your business all the best! If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out again.
Regards,
Darrel
Been paying the top price for this app for numerous years, upon checking today i can see the app has done nothing at all in over a year; despite my website having a total redesign in this time. I'd like a refund for every month ive paid for this app and the app has done absolutely nothing at all
Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and we’re truly sorry for the confusion and frustration this caused. After checking your account, we confirmed that your SEO optimizations are fully active and working correctly in the background.
The issue you noticed, where the reports seemed inactive — was actually due to a temporary dashboard sync delay following recent Shopify API updates and our own dashboard redesign.
Our engineering team has already been working to stabilize this update so that your live SEO results display accurately again. In the meantime, we’ve verified that your backend SEO score is currently 90 (Grade A), which shows that your site remains properly optimized.
We’ve also reached out to you privately via email with a few follow-up details and a note of appreciation for your continued support.
Thank you again for sticking with us, we’re confident that everything will be fully synced and running smoothly shortly.
Warm regards,
Pat

This app is a total scam, they charge you $25 right away and it is not free 14 day trial. They do not refund the money back even if you cancel the app within two days. Stay away from this app is a total scam.
Hi there,
We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you sharing your feedback.
We’d like to clarify that our app offers a free plan, and paid plans are only activated when a user manually approves the upgrade through Shopify’s billing screen. Once a charge is approved, Shopify handles all billing and fund transfers.
After receiving your email, our team responded promptly requesting a copy of the invoice so we could validate and process your refund. However, it looks like the message may not have been seen on your end.
That said, we’ve already gone ahead and processed a full refund for the $24.99 charge as a courtesy. We’ve also sent a confirmation email with a screenshot of the refund transaction for your reference. If you experience any delays, Shopify Support can assist, as they handle the settlement process.
We’re here if you need anything else and truly regret that your experience didn’t reflect the standard of service we aim for.
Warm regards,
Pat – Booster SEO Team
Only optimizes some images, then they tell you you need to wait a month to get the rest done. But that never happened. I emailed, messaged, used the chat, and never got any further response. They did send a collaboration request, which I accepted immediately, but nothing further. Six weeks of waiting, messaging, being told that it would start later, later, later. Customer service is basically non existent.
Hi there,
Lester here from Booster SEO Tier 2 Support. I’m truly sorry for the frustration you've experienced.
I reviewed your case and can confirm that our team did send a collaborator access request so we could investigate the stalled image optimizations. However, please note that we don’t receive automatic notifications once a request is accepted; and we send out dozens each day. This is the reason why we ask merchants to let us know once access has been granted so we can proceed immediately.
Regarding the monthly optimization limit, our app does indeed have a 5GB processing limit per month, and this is something we’ve always been fully transparent about inside the app and in our documentation. This limit is imposed by our current server provider and is sufficient for over 99% of stores, but we understand that high-volume stores may outgrow it. We are actively working on expanding this capacity for all our valued users, including yourself.
That said, if the next cycle of optimizations doesn’t begin at the start of a new month, we can fix this right away with a manual re-sync; but again, only after collaborator access is confirmed.
I’ve already reached out to you directly via email so we can get this fully resolved for you.
Looking forward to your reply, and we'd truly appreciate the opportunity to make things right.
Best regards,
Lester
