At first, it seemed like everything was fine and working well. My SEO errors were fixed, but the Google and Pinterest bots flagged the massive amount of automated processing as negative, and my ranking plummeted to 0 within two weeks due to this aggressive SEO booster. It caused me a lot of damage, even though I was told it wouldn't affect other apps. But it's more than clear, and I just hope Google regains confidence in my shop soon.

First, our app does not use AI or automated content generation for your meta tags. Instead, we rely on your existing product titles and collections to create clean, SEO-friendly meta tags. This is also why we provide the SEO Audits feature — to highlight areas where improvements may still be needed, leaving the final decisions and edits in your control.

Second, platforms like Pinterest and Google Merchant Center don’t actually use traditional SEO meta tags the way Google Search does. Instead, they rely on product feeds (separate data submissions that follow their own guidelines) to determine how your products are displayed. That means any warnings or issues you’re seeing there would be independent of our app’s SEO optimizations.

That said, I’d really like to help point you in the right direction. Could you please share the exact warnings or errors you’re receiving from Google or Pinterest? With more details, I can guide you on what they mean and how best to resolve them.

I can't say anything about the app. But I've been waiting almost a year for the app to work at all. I keep being put off again and again. As compensation, I got a 1-year subscription for free. D When the app finally loaded after half a year, it continued. I wanted to redeem the 1-year subscription. However, there is now a problem with redeeming the subscription. Now I've been waiting another 3 months without success. I'm not getting an answer from support either. And I really wasn't annoyed. I have asked maybe once in 2 weeks if there is an update.
Too bad, because the app is really praised.

In your case, the issue was tied to the way Shopify’s Billing API syncs subscription confirmations back to our app. Occasionally, this handshake can get stuck, which prevents Premium from being unlocked even though the upgrade was processed. While the underlying changes don’t affect your store’s data or theme safety, we know how disruptive it is when access doesn’t match what you paid for.

This app is a total scam, they charge you $25 right away and it is not free 14 day trial. They do not refund the money back even if you cancel the app within two days. Stay away from this app is a total scam.

We’d like to clarify that our app offers a free plan, and paid plans are only activated when a user manually approves the upgrade through Shopify’s billing screen. Once a charge is approved, Shopify handles all billing and fund transfers.

After receiving your email, our team responded promptly requesting a copy of the invoice so we could validate and process your refund. However, it looks like the message may not have been seen on your end.

That said, we’ve already gone ahead and processed a full refund for the $24.99 charge as a courtesy. We’ve also sent a confirmation email with a screenshot of the refund transaction for your reference. If you experience any delays, Shopify Support can assist, as they handle the settlement process.

I REMOVED YOUR APP WHY DID YOU STILL CHARGE ME? I WANT THE 55.00 REFUNDED ASAP. I read in another review "To cancel your trial period, you just need to simply uninstall the app in your Shopify admin before your trial runs out. Uninstalling the app from your store will effectively cancel your subscription." THAT IS UNTRUE. I uninstalled the app and it charged me 55.00 anyway.

Not impressed at all with this. The app is extremely simplistic in reality. By "fixing alt texts" for example, all it does is duplicate your page title across all images for a product. This duplication would just get you down ranked. It would at least have been useful to add context or some kind of structure to the auto generated alt texts, but control is limited.

It also messed up my meta title and descriptions which I had written myself for every one of my 500+ products. Downgrading my plan undid some of the damage, but I still have a lot to fix now.

Support is also laughable. Very unimpressed with this simplistic and overpriced app. Not a scam, but not far off.

Darrel here from Booster SEO. I want to sincerely apologize for the issues you've encountered and thank you for your feedback.

I understand the frustration with the app's AutoPilot feature not automating everything. Just to clarify, what our app does is use your Product title as the Meta title and Product description as the Meta description by default or if you use the "Let the app decide" option on the AutoPilot page. The idea is that you already have the proper keyword in your Product Title and Description, the main keyword will be your Product Title(since your product title should have the best keyword that describes your product) and in the event that keyword is not in your meta description then the app will let you know that it needs to be added on your product description manually so that it'll be updated in the meta description coming from our app. Our app does do a lot automatically through its AutoPilot features, but some SEO involves keyword-optimizing the visible content of your pages (such as your product descriptions), and our app never does that automatically, for two reasons:​

- Google is quite good at detecting (and penalizing) when an app has automatically generated page content, so our app avoids it.

- As an expert in your industry, you are the best judge of what keywords are best and how they should be written into your content, so our app gives you guidance on where keywords are missing but leaves the writing up to you.

Regarding our app's alt-text feature just using the Product title, just like with the meta title and meta description, by default the app will use the Product title and your Store's name for the alt tags. It is designed this way since the best practice for alt tags is to describe the image in three to five words that include your focus keywords, and that keyword will come from your product title.

As you can see, the app relies heavily on your product title for keywords since the product title should be the keyword or contains the keyword that best describes your product. To learn about the most streamlined process for optimizing keywords in our app, and for a more in-depth introduction to keywords, see our guide How to Optimize Keywords for SEO in our Help Site which we sent to you via email.

If you don't want to use the app's default setting for alt tags, meta titles, and meta descriptions, it does provide an option to use other templates. The guide was also sent to you via email.

Our experience with the app has been a waste of time and money.

While the initial service was good, including website reviews and feedback, the quality has significantly dropped. We reached out to the company 2 to 3 months into our subscription to express our concerns about not seeing any benefits. They assured us that it would take about 6 months to see results. Now, about 6 months, we still haven’t experienced any improvements.

Additionally, I uninstalled the app a few days ago but noticed that we are still being charged for the period from 2025-01-16 to 2025-02-15(full month). When we contacted customer service, they were unable to provide clear information about the charges and only mentioned that we wouldn't be billed for a full month.

I've been waiting for almost half a year now on an update while the app isn't working. The people keep telling me things will be alights, but they won't. The product is outdated and doesn't work on my theme.

This app broke my H1 and description tags, I reached out to support over 3 weeks ago, without a resolution.

I also used the app for a second time and was charged £60 for using it for under 24 hours. I was promised a refund that has still not materialized.

overly expensive, damaging to my website, and unsatisfactory support.

EDIT: First, they ruin your website, causing hundreds of dollars in damage, and then they tell you they'll give you a free subscription (which is obviously not true because it's all a setup). I tried to ask for real, technical information about how the program works in the back end, and they were unable to answer me, except to say the usual childish nonsense and advise me to read their guides, which say absolutely nothing. After I asked for technical information, they blocked my email and never replied again. For me, these are not serious service. I have many doubts about the positive reviews from people who really enjoyed themselves...I had to solve the problem of damaged images (150 random ones) by manually fixing more than 5,000 media files, as it was difficult to find those that had not been damaged by “optimization.” For me, this experience was a waste of money and a lot of energy.

The app is unclear about costs and synchronized products. To understand it better, you have to write to customer service, which has proven to be very incompetent in answering specific questions. The synchronization dashboard shows fake numbers because the free plan generates alt text for 150 random images from the store, which is the only feature available with the free plan. The other plans are all very expensive, and to do basic things like image optimization, you need to sign up for the $69 plan. It's a rip-off; there are many apps that offer the same thing at 1/3 of the cost.
