I initially gave this app a 1 star review (because I had a poor service when I first installed this app), and was contacted by the owners and given an upgrade to try it again, and to rewrite my review. I then gave it 4 stars.

That was a mistake.

I set up my store on this app, with the instructions that were given, at the time (November 2024) and my store was set up so that others could sell my wares, NOT so that I could sell others' wares, as I had intended.

I got busy with Black Friday and end of the year and have just now been able to come back to this app and I see there are 8 "partners" to my store.

The app has better instructions now, and has a guide, including a video, telling you how to get set up with them.

No where on this video did I see that people are to import your listings, which not only copies and pastes photos/videos from your site, but several stores have copied and pasted the descriptions that I painstakingly created myself. This is not okay with me. This can confuse customers, and can severely hurt SEO.

I have now had to contact the owners of these stores requesting them to remove those listings from their stores, only to be told by some store owners - that (1) this is the way Buddify works; (2) that this doesn't hurt SEO and (3) just remove my store from Buddify and that will fix the problem.

None of that is a solution. (1) This should NOT be the way Buddify works, because you should write your own listings. (2) It does hurt SEO and (3) I've contacted support already and awaiting a reply from them, but am not holding my breath.

This is not a good app.

However, it is clear that you misunderstood the platform’s core concept despite our detailed Help Center, video tutorials, and ongoing support.

They force you to pay 1 year up front. I tried it out and have gotten zero partnerships. Very quiet and inactive platform. Save your money.

We offer free plans, as well as monthly and yearly plans, used by thousands of our customers. No one is forced to pay for a plan—you chose the yearly plan for the discounts. You've been with us for around 3 months, and I see you already have a retailer partner attempting to sell your products. Buddify provides a platform to showcase your products, but it’s up to brands to choose whether to resell or buy wholesale. Being proactive is key, but I noticed you haven’t engaged with other brands yet. We're sorry things didn’t meet your expectations, however much of your feedback is inaccurate.

We were charged a week early due to notifying buddify of a services cancelation inquiry & never received any accommodation using the app.

We use Shopify as our payment service, so we do not directly charge our customers. Instead, Shopify collects Buddify charges along with your monthly Shopify invoice. You activated your subscription on July 18th and it was invoiced on August 12th along with your Shopify monthly fee, collected by Shopify. In fact, you were charged three weeks later than most other apps would have charged. We're having difficulty pinpointing the issue here but that's okay.

Joke. I need to give 35% discount on my products in order to let others sell it. My profit margin is sometimes less than that so I'm literally giving my products away for free or even top it up from my pocket

Our records show that you used our app for a brief period of 17 minutes, during which you took advantage of our FREE plan. We offer free plans under both the Buddy and Retailer categories, which you utilized.

Please note that product pricing is determined by the supplier brands, and these prices represent discounts from their usual retail prices on their online stores. If you find these prices high, we unfortunately have limited control as we do not set the pricing. However, compared to other apps with similar features, Buddify is competitively priced.
