The buy button is great. I starting implementing it about 2-3 weeks ago am now starting to see sales from it. I would love to see the blog article where the conversion came from as I’m not able to see this in the conversion details. That’s the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

Thank you for writing your review and sharing your feedback here, and I'm glad to hear that you've enjoyed using the Buy Button app and are seeing sales come in! In terms of conversion details, I would recommend using a third-party analytics program such as Google Analytics to get a better handle on your conversion rate. The internal sales reports within Shopify will give you a breakdown of where your sales have come from (e.g. online store vs. Buy Button). -Victor, Shopify Support

I like this a lot and find it useful I DO wish that I could save the code and come back to it. Instead I have to remake the button over and over.

This app is ok but problematic. If you have a lot of text on the product and want to showcase that, it won't open on a new tab and will clutter the screen without respecting paragraphs and spaces. It also failed to align into my page centered, there is no option. With 0 knowledge of coding it took me 1 hour to figure out how to center it manually. If it matters, I am on the theme prestige. Not allowing me to use the fonts of my choice or the website defaults is extremely annoying. I only recommend if you need the basics or don't care about design much. If that's what you need, then yes it's functional and simple.

Thank you for writing your review and for detailing your experiences with the Buy Button app. I can appreciate that the limitations of the app can be frustrating when trying to get the button to look how you want it to, and whilst the nature of how the button works makes it far less customisable than an online store on Shopify, I can see why having more options to make editing the button easier would be beneficial.

Feedback from merchants is always appreciated and I will be sure to pass your comments onto our app development team. -Victor, Shopify Support

So far so good. I put the buy button on my website to make it easy for people to purchase as soon as they hit the home page, without having to go any further (because I only have one product right now). Worked like a charm.

I love, LOVE the ability to be able to sell through Buy Buttons. It really helps to give me the freedom to build how and where I'd like, while still using the power of the Shopify framework. The only downside I've found thus far is that it gets a little tricky when it comes to all of the integrations. Certain features (like the abandoned cart emails) don't seem to work when people purchase through the buy button, even though it records the abandoned cart in my dashboard. I also find that the use of the other Shopify apps isn't as seamless when using the buy buttons--which has made for a few headaches and a lot more work. I'm hoping things will get smoothed out and more features will be integrated as time goes on <3

Before, there was the option to generate a payment link and checkout, now no more, I do not know what can happen, but for me this would be the best option, because I wanted to put the link on my landpage.

Thank you for sharing this review with us. I wanted to let you know that we do still have the option to create checkout links! This guide in our help center explains how (http://bit.ly/2pfEQnI).

If you have specific customers with more complex orders, you may also find that draft orders can help. This page talks a bit more about those (http://bit.ly/2mQFk2r).

I’ve followed up with you via email as well in case I can provide any further assistance on this. -Lizzy, Shopify Support

Hi,

It's useless if you need to generate the code to display your products in other then default language. If you have more then one language available, there is no possibility to select the language to be used on generated code. They recommend to change the default language of your eshop each time you need to generate the code.. :) or at least this is what support team recommended me.

I used this app to add a ecommerce to my clients Webflow site. We originally were using Webflow ecommerce but were limited on payment options (stripe only). With my client having CBD products, Stripe and Paypal were not an option so I did some research and thankfully Spotify allowed Authorize.net to process payments. Syncing products from Shopify into Webflow did have some ups and downs but I want to share some of the issues that could use some refining that would have been beneficial: 1) Ability to mass-export Product ID numbers without using a 3rd-party app.
2) Having different cart themes and more customization without needing to work in liquid code. Ex: Removing the cart icon on checkout took sometime to figure out. (Cart links to "Online Store" cart but we don't have that with only a buy button)
3) Ability to have a cart page as well as a checkout page, all without having to buy the online store. If I could have a url that I could have linked to the Webflow cart icon that would've been very helpful. 4) Ability to have different cart designs/locations. This goes with #3 but to have the option to show the hovering cart Shopify icon, or have a url to paste that goes to a cart page would be a useful option. That's all I got! Thanks for the great product. - Ryan

Pretty good. I wish we could embed discount codes into it though. And I wish it detected when it was shown on a page within its own Shopify store and used the store's cart rather than the pop-over cart.

Thank you for your review - the customer can always input a discount code when redirected to the checkout, however I can definitely understand the benefit of giving them the option to do it sooner.

In regards to using the store's cart when the Buy Button is on it's own Shopify store, this isn't currently possible as the button's original purpose was to redirect sales from external websites. That said, I can definitely see how this would be useful in a case where you've embedded a Buy Button for a blog post or other page. I'll be sure to pass both of these on as feature requests for you. Thanks for the feedback! - Brie, Shopify Support

It's a great concept but it doesn't link with the customers actual cart! this makes it useless. Please make it a live cart then it will be great!

Thanks for sharing this feedback! The Buy Button will add products to a separate cart than the the cart page created via your online store. This happens because your online store and the Buy Button are technically two separate sales channels. That said, we’re always working to improve the way our apps work, so I’ve followed up with you via email to log your feedback for our development team. - Lauren, Shopify Support
