Fantastic app. Meets all our needs, where tons of other apps failed previously. Customer care is second to none, even working over the holidays to accommodate us. Replaced another very well known app to calculate shipping rates and qualify addresses for residential/ commercial in Shopify store. Calcurates app had simpler to modify programming and cheaper monthly rates. Highly recommend their offer to setup initial rates with their professional support. Would not have been able to do it on my own. As it was their program did not support Shopify's meta fields to get proper rates especially on products with variants. Our store was essentially down for a day, but Calcurates worked hard on their end with their programmers to fix their program. Their support cared about us and was responsive considering the deadline. I wish the problem would not have happened, but they worked hard to correct it and now everything works great.

We wish we would of found out about this app sooner! It's perfect for our complicated shipping scenarios and has much more customization than the app we were previously using. Setup was a breeze as it was mostly handled for us by the Calcurates team (thanks Nik!).

Calculates allows for very nice complex shipping options based on table rates, rules and order variables. We've used other app by Amasty before on Magento and were overall impressed with the level of configuration available. My main issues with this app is the rather poor Shopify integration. I can see the same platform is used for Magento. For Shopify, only ONE admin user (the installer) can access the rates and configure the app. App support recommended I give my admin password to other staff. Big no no and not what I'd expect from a professional charging app. Shopify user ID tokens are not used by this app when they really should be. I've never come across this before. Secondly, product attributes to create product segments are pretty useless. You get to segment products based on...Vendor. That's it. You can forget about product tags or even Product Type which is pretty fundamental in most Shopify apps. I'm sure Magento users are swimming in attributes to select. Thankfully SKUs are available but they're not ideal if you have a large catalogue of dynamic products to segment. I feel overall this is a very versatile Magento-targeted app with high aspirations for Shopify. It just seems to needs more love and consideration for Shopify merchants. We're going to use the app and I'll review my rating - maybe even update our tier - if features progress for Shopify, but I suspect these rather fundamental app quirks aren't a priority. Time will tell.

We are happy to announce that Calcurates now supports Shopify metafields, tags, vendors and collections. It means that the most powerful Calcurates features are now available for Shopify store owners: Shipping Rules, Volumetric Weight, Smart Packaging and Custom Calculation. We've also improved authorization: now it uses store's email which allows all store's users to managing app. Hope you'll benefit much from these updates!

App says it handles Volumetric Weights. Not an accurate statement. There's no actual connection to products for volumetric weights. And I didn't find that out till after I hit the "subscribe" button. Very dissapointed!

Using metafields is a poor workaround. Other shipping calculator apps in the Shopify app store have the ability to calculate dimensions baked into their app. Yours doesn’t provide that feature. You should have a way to setup dim weights – or not advertise that your app has a volumetric feature.
Hello! Sorry to hear you haven't figured out how our Volumetric Weight feature works, which caused a bad experience with our app. The feature interacts with Shopify product metafields - in your account you should have synced your store with Calcurates and mapped dimensions with the corresponding metafields. Our app automatically calculates the cart's dim weight based on your product dimensions. Setting them with metafields and using other product CSV import/export apps makes the process quick and easy. This approach works great for all our merchants.
There is also the Smart Packaging feature in our app, which solves dimensional shipping in a different way — it virtually pre-packs the order into available packages in optimal way or based on your own packaging rules.
The subscription is not required for all that while you are on a free trial. We feel sorry it wasn't clear to you. We'd be happy to do a configuration for you for free, please reach us at support@calcurates.com.
Calculates has worked great for our brand at easily setting up shipping and calculating accurate rates with our complex product selection.

I needed an app that was compatible with the other customizations we've made to our site, and that could determine the dimensional weight of the items in the shopping cart, as well as recommend the correct package for the items ordered. This app does all that and more. The developers even added an additional functionality at my request that made it even better. 5 Stars.

We have used this app to enable Multizone, and multi-vendor shipping, which has worked great. There were some minor issues in configuration, but the team at Calcurates were great at understanding our requirements and providing a fix in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this app.

At first, it was not very easy for me to understand the configuration of the application, and I even thought that it would be too complicated, but after spending a little time I figured out all the details and was able to configure the necessary settings for me very accurately.
I think if I had booked the demo call, in the beginning, I would have figured it out even faster.
To sum it up, it’s a good app that allows you to customize your shipping rates very precisely, but for beginners it might look a bit complicated.

We are working on simplifying our interface and smoothing the configuration process.
It’s a whole new level of flexibility for delivery on checkout for me. Calcurates allows me to set estimated delivery dates, something my customers have been wanting for a long time. There are more useful features such as volumetric weight and duties & taxes for international shipping, that I am planning to learn more about and start using. It’s a very promising app

I have only recently used this app, but I can already say that it is exactly what I was looking for.
It allows me to set up multi-vendor shipping, so I can save a lot on shipping costs. I also noticed that there are features like dimension-based rates and delivery zone flexibility.
