Canal has been integral in helping us achieve our goals – both from a revenue and brand perspective. We enjoy working with their team and have always received speedy support. The tech team is clearly hard at work because the app's features are continuously evolving and improving. We would recommend the app to anyone looking for an easy and effective drop-ship solution.
The canal team has been incredible to work with! Ela, Nina, and Kaili helped get my store set up on Nordstrom super quick. They set up a dedicated Slack channel for us for fast communications and doing everything needed to ensure we see success through Canal's platform.
Having our brand, Summer Solace Tallow, on Canal, has been an absolute game-changer! The integration with Shopify is seamless, making it incredibly easy to connect with new retailers and expand our reach.
We are currently working with new retailers through Canal and truly believe it represents the future of sustainable dropshipping, especially for high-end retailers who want to support and showcase smaller indie brands to their customers. Canal has been huge for us to work with 3rd parties easily. Our team doesn't need to spend hours trying to set up with many different systems Canal and their team have been amazing and made a great impact in our business as a result.
it's no exaggeration to say that there is almost 1-2 bugs in every function they promised. No wonder more and more brands are leaving this app.
I've been used this app for 7 months now and discovered new bugs and glitches almost every month:
1. I did not received any payment for the first 2 months even though on the Canal backend, it said my Stripe was successfully connected. The support was unreachable and I had to contact Shopify for help and it even took over a week for Shopify to get connected with their support
2. I was unable to send an agreed proposal to a potential partner when the re-negotiating with them, making us look unprofessional and as a result we lost that potential lead forever
3. The inventory was incorrectly synched, resulting my listing unpublished in the partner's site. There were several products which we have sufficient inventory and set correctly on our Shopify backend. But when Canal synched them to the retail's end, they were out of stock and consequently unpublished on the partner's end.
4. Products selected in the proposal were missing after clicking the 'send' button. We selected over 50+ products to make a new proposal with higher commission to a partner. But when submitting the proposal, only 10 products was included in that proposal, making us look stupid and unreliable to the partner. This is the core function of this app and they should have get it right at the beginning. What's even ridiculous is that, 4 weeks has passed and they still cannot fix it.
5. Order was not synched to our Shopify backend. We received an email notification from the partner saying there was an order waiting to be shipped but this order was never synched to our Shopify backend. On time fulfilment is essential to sustain a good partnership as otherwise it would harm the shopper's experience and tarnish the partner's brand reputation. If we did not identify this issue, we would be framed as unreliable supplier by this app again.
I know posting this probably won't help them improve as if they care, this app would not be this bad. So I am sharing my experience as a warning to the merchant community. Please do not install and let this app poison the relationship with your partners! They don't even deserve a 1 star.

we LOVE this connector app... easiest to use out of all the others we are forced to use by other vendors... we have lots of customers that use Canal to dropship our products - prob the best one out there - and believe me I use them ALL>
Initially, Canal was a great app; however, that didn't last. Their site claims "When a proposal is accepted, it’s smooth sailing....You’ll fulfill and ship on behalf of your Retailer, and get paid out via Stripe on a weekly basis. More brand awareness and money in the bank – it’s that easy."
Unfortunately, we stopped getting paid for orders shipped. We're a small brand, but we we were working with some well known sites. We tried reaching out to them directly with no luck. Canal customer service kept telling us they were working on it. We got paid for a few orders, but not all. And it has been months. We removed our products from the associated sites and will now be removing the app.
Update: Canal eventually did pay us for the outstanding orders.
We have had a great experience with the Canal app and team - definitely recommend for listing on 3P marketplaces and dept stores
Absolutely seamless integration and a *total game-changer*-- Canal has literally become our gold standard for partner integrations. No more 3rd party portals, spreadsheet hacks, death-by-email, and staff burnout trying to onboard, maintain, and scale(!) new vendor partners. Goodbye to the headache of managing inventory (especially for products with short shelf-life), and of course, handling fulfillment for third-party products. This integration eliminates the need to ship a product multiple times before it ever reaches the consumer and for those of us trying to be good stewards of our planet's resources and reduce our carbon footprint, that is HUGE. To sum it up: It’s the bee's knees of integrations and the most useful app I’ve ever used in e-commerce, hands down.
The best app for cross-selling opportunities. Very easy to use and onboard and they have a great ecosystem of brands to work with. Great customer success team as well.
