About Group Carts and Chat
Cartonomy is the fun and easy way for your customers to buy products and shop together. No more messy collaboration over text, email, and outside social networks. Now you can find everything within the add to cart button. We build the social network right into your store, so customers can privately:
- Share a cart and invite friends, family, or coworkers to chat rooms
- Discuss products from the catalogs and also see the detailed view of the purchase in the cart.
- Manage a group budget or fulfill a group shopping list in a shopping cart
- Cart users can establish deadlines for group orders and group purchase
- Easily import profile information from Google or Facebook.
Our features help you increase sales and reduce abandoned carts, by removing the barriers to purchase that are often caused by group decision making. If your customer needs approval for a purchase, they can instantly share their cart with a family member, purchasing manager, or whoever pays the tab while buying products. If a manager or parent has a budget for a group order, she can set the budget and then share a cart to discuss and decide how to spend it. We give your customers an incentive to stay in your shop until all the group decisions can be resolved -- and then make a purchase through your usual store cart.
How it works
Customers can find the Cartonomy widget discretely located near the add to cart button of your store page. They can activate it by clicking on it or pressing the "Add to New Group Order" button on any product in your catalog. After they could send private email invitations to the people they would like to shop with. These people are directed to your site to join the shared cart and chat rooms. The widget stays closed as your customers browse your store, and notifies them when there is a new message, product, or shopper in their group that needs some attention.
Cartonomy has been optimized to work with most Shopify themes, so that the "Add to Group Order" button matches the look of your store - as in our screenshots.

The app has a good concept, I strongly believe it has potential for my business. However the support was only responsive initially and when the app has some issues they never responded again. I am sure they will respond here with a standard response like "We tried to email you etc." or "because you uninstall the app" whatever, DON'T BELIEVE them. When your business needs an app, you need a responsive support team from that app. While testing their app, initially was working then it started having problems like unable to invite a member to a group and when the total cost for the group couldn't add up because it won't accept the decimal point then that's a big problem. For both of the problems it shows an error that states "Sequence no elements found." But they don't care at all, last response from them was Nov 8, 2021 and I replied on same date, and email them again Nov 9th for follow up but since then up to now, no response from them. I even sent them a video on what's going on so that they can see what's wrong. ZERO star for this app.
