COD King‑Part COD & OTP Verify

A basic software issue took 36 hours to respond; the response I got was it's not resolvable.

Amandeep seemed not remorseful and extremely lackadaisical in his attitude.

The issue was as basic as OTP not being triggered.

If you have more than one shipping method, the checkout looks really bad, because you have to duplicate every option with a COD version. Very weak customization overall. Right after installing I reported that the app doesn’t do what I expected, but instead of a solution I only got stalling and ignoring. That’s exactly why they don’t offer a trial for the COD feature. I recommend using another app – competitors are much better.

Do not install this app or trust this developer (Notifik Technologies LLP – COD King). After uninstalling their app, their collaborator logged into my store and maliciously changed my checkout code, which completely broke my checkout process and caused a loss of sales.

This was not a technical issue, but a deliberate act of interference after I removed the app. I’ve reported the incident to Shopify Trust & Safety for investigation.

Recommendation: Use trusted alternatives like Shiprocket One-Click Checkout or Fastrr Checkout, which are reliable and safe for merchants.

Worst app experience ever lost money and customers

This app is a complete disaster for any serious online business. It forced OTP verification before customers can even add items to the cart, making the website feel like a scam page. Every OTP triggered costs $0.54, so even if someone is just browsing or adding items without buying, I'm losing money.

On top of that, even customers who are ready to pay with card are confused because OTP is asked way too early long before the checkout page. This is a terrible user experience that destroyed my conversion rate.

Their customer support is completely unprofessional, rude, and not helpful at all. They take no responsibility for the damage caused.

Avoid this app if you care about your store and customers. It will hurt your business.

None of the features is working—pathetic App and Pathetic Support.

This is a COD verification app that does not verify COD orders. After initial OTP verification customer is free to put any other phone number while entering shipping details. This defeats the entire purpoe of the app.

Support is not 24 Hrs as claimed by the developers , there is no trial on paid plans (free plans do not offer testing of all functions) .

Customer support claims that since we are poor and cannot afford shopify plus plans we should be happy with whatever they are giving us in this app.
