Super easy to set up and use. I can now add extra variants and images and I don't have to worry about a messy and confusing product page. And less load time too! Support is awesome. I would like to have a complete list of my products in the app admin...they have to be brought up with search...but it wasn't a deal breaker and hopefully it will be added at some point;)
Probably one of the most user-friendly apps I have used yet for single variations. The tech is responsive and prompt with their service and is definitely worth a try. Outstanding app! Got to be the most simple and user friendly variant image app out there. What's more, the price, customer support and loading times beat their rivals hands down. I previously used an alternative app, but upon changing theme I required support, especially with Christmas traffic hitting the website. Broken promises and a lack of support lead to me installing this app, and it's developers dealt with a minor teething issue immediately. Highly recommend! I'll be sticking with these guys!
EDIT - After an original bad experience with the app, Ankit messaged me and offered to resolve the issue for my shop directly. He got it working within a couple of hours, and seems to be good for now. Will update here if necessary. The interface is very easy to work with, appreciate the option for "common" images, so don't have to select for every variant. so 5 stars on that. Very quick and friendly support. If it continues to work as described, I will be very happy, and will upgrade to 5 stars review. The reason for 4 stars is for the original bad experience of the app malfunctioning and deleting my original variant images on first test product. I suggest installing with a TEST product, confirming that it works (or getting support to get it to function properly) before rolling out to all products in case of an error. 5 stars for quick and friendly support.

BEWARE this app, it removes your set variant images from products, so if you uninstall the app, none of your products that you have set up will have any variant images set, so you will have to reset them all manually for every product that you previously set up using the Clever Variant Images app. Easier to use interface than Free Variant Images app, but not worth even "testing" this app as you'll lose any preset variant images you had... The only reason for the 2 stars is that the interface is easy to work with, but just everyone beware, you will be locked in to the app, as changing your mind will DELETE any preset variants on your store.

This allows me to set images to display EXACTLY how I want. I actually prefer going to a separate set page in which I can very easily specify my image variant settings, rather than the "built into Shopify Admin" way that so many other apps offer. Further, the support team has been extremely helpful every time I've had a question or even needed something changed. They were fast, to the point and successful in every interaction.

App works great with variant based business such as shoes and clothing, helps suppress non selected colors on detail page to enhance color selection process for he customer, perfect for detail pages with many colors especially with mobile devices where space is limited this app is a must!! Also great customer service who by a drop of a hat will answer and make app changes within 24 hours if changes are necessary

Don't understand this app. It says FREE plan available but upon installing it wants to charge you. Can someone please advice on this.

As advertised, we do have a free plan. However, it is only available for development stores. Possibly, we can change the wordings to make it clearer.

Just installed, but it seems to do exactly what it says it does. It does seem a bit crazy to me that Shopify doesn't have this as a base feature though considering there are literally hundreds of posts online asking about how to do this. Also is crazy that other apps are charging $20 a month for such a simple feature. This app seems to be working good though so far, I spent a couple hours trying to do it myself and gave up and this solved it. Thanks!
We tried this app on our test store to see if it works as per our requirements. No problems so far. Its now ready for our production store.
