Shopify Collective

Overall my experience with Shopify Collective is positive. However, there needs to be a much stronger mode of communication between retailers and the suppliers as far as connection requests, no abrupt store disconnections, clearer requirements for shipping and returns, etc.

Great way to scale up product offerings and increase revenue. Wish there were more granular ways to control pricing, but overall this has been great for us.

I’ve experienced several issues with different distributors that have resulted in being charged taxes twice. Because of this, I made no profit on some sales, and on one order I actually lost money.

When I import products, Collective shows that I will make a certain profit. However, after the order is placed, I’m automatically charged taxes twice, along with additional shipping costs that were not disclosed beforehand. As a result, the final costs are higher than the expected profit shown during the import process.

Collective should address this issue by providing accurate cost estimates upfront and ensuring that all taxes and additional charges are clearly displayed before products are imported or sold. Otherwise, sellers can end up losing money on orders they believed would be profitable.

Overall it is great and simplifies product research. Only issue is many products you have to ask for margins and permission to add to your store, though small price to pay for the ease.

I absolutely love Collective. I has been very difficult to find reliable suppliers in the USA. I would recommend the following. Add products categories to individual Sellers so that it is easier to search their products. Add Best sellers based of sales data to Individual Sellers so we know what is selling. Automatically remove products that has Zero Inventory. Add more Suppliers that Sells Brand Name Products. Thanks. Good Job So far.

Overall, Shopify Collective has been an excellent way to find reliable suppliers that ship within a reasonable timeframe. Fast, dependable fulfillment is one of the most important things I want to provide for my customers, and many of the suppliers on the platform have helped me do exactly that.

I hope Shopify continues strengthening its supplier vetting process and regularly reviews supplier listings for fulfillment reliability, accurate product information, and transparent shipping practices. Overall, I appreciate Shopify Collective and look forward to seeing it continue to improve.

If you are able to work with smaller businesses and can fulfill drop ship, this is a game changer for small e-comm shops and the industry of retail as a whole as it can help evolve an e-comm to grow into a brick and mortar.

I like the app a lot because is was very difficulty to find suppliers within the US that offers Fast Shipping. Can you improve the Sort within each each suppliers because a lot of times when you enter the main keyword or other keywords related to the product is comes up blank. Also if you can Vet and Add more DropShipping Suppliers with Warehouse within the US. Also Can you get Suppliers who Offer Brand Name Products Please. Thanks for this Option, we needed this a long time ago. More help with the Marketing. Expand the marketing to the entire Store not Just the Shop App. The Cost per New Customer to too high because the our margins on the Collective is very Low and even for our own inventory supplies. A seller internal note section for collective suppliers for shipping and responsiveness experience would be great. Some suppliers are better than others. I would also suggest adding seller ratings for collective suppliers based on an actual sale.

They don't allow us to write proper reviews on Suppliers. Majority of the suppliers don't respond to your emails especially when they are supposed to fulfill return labels. Suppliers can also cancel your customers orders without giving any context. I strongly advise not to use collective
