The App was working fine, before their upgrade to "Complianz".
Now it is...
- not loading at all when using Brave Browser
- not loading the appearance panel when using Edge Browser
- still showing the old app, when visiting our store, although it should be showing the new one
I contacted their support and they wanted me to sign a four page service agreement before helping me. Although the agreement stated, that no additional cost were involved, it still felt fishy.
According to the agreement, I was also "requesting exceptional support [...] which does not fall within the scope of the support services provided by the Provider."
In other words: Get the app (that you pay for) up and running in your store like it is advertised, is a "exceptional support" matter, that "does not fall within the scope" of their support team.

Regarding the browser-related problems, it's worth noting that Brave tends to block many third-party services by default, which may affect functionality. As for the issue with your cookie banner not updating, this can be resolved quickly, and we're more than happy to take care of it for you. However, we do require a signed waiver before we can access your store.
You mentioned the section about "requesting exceptional support" in the waiver. We understand that the wording might sound unusual. It simply means that we're offering hands-on assistance by directly accessing your store to resolve the issue, rather than guiding you through the steps via email.

The app launched updates without informing me and as I didn't go into the app to accept it (as I didn't know about it), our entire tracking broke down. It took me weeks to figure out that an update in this app caused all the issues. The support wasn't helpful either. Now again, they launched a new version and forced me to move to it. My banner design and all customizations were lost in the process, and I had to start from 0. Therefore, I now decided to move to a different Cookie banner app.

Seit dem neuen Update leider wesentlich schlechter als vorher. Das Widget ist an einer schlechten stelle platziert und lässt sich auch nirgends anders platzieren. Das Logo im Header ist extrem klein, sodass man es kaum erkennt und lässt sich nicht verändern. Das Design des Banners war vorher besser und lässt sich nun auch kaum noch anpassen. Für mich ein leider sehr enttäuschendes Update.

After the Update, the app isnt usable in the EU area. No translation an many other things that doesnt work.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience, but I'm curious to hear more about the issues you've described as these seem quite far apart from what our app is. It is able to support multiple regions and it definitely support the GDPR for the EU, and we do offer automatic translations and offer manual custom banner text possibilities. Perhaps some settings in our could be made more clear for you and we'd love to hear your feedback about it!

Support only in English? Fine, then in English! Then we'll use a translation app if that's too much for you. We haven't had any visible conversions in the backend for over a month. Only Shopify found out that this is because of you! Would you please inform us that an update is necessary? !!!! And the support can only be reached via detours, because the popup stubbornly won't go away! We are so annoyed and disappointed! Hopefully we will be contacted immediately. We will not change any codes etc. Why do we pay for your app???????
Let me start of by apologizing for your experience, that is not what we strive to provide our clients of course.
However, I do notice that you were actually helped in German. Missing conversions is certainly undesirable, as this is not a common issue we encounter with our clients we've asked your for access to your store so that our technical team could take a look, which was refused.
We will take your feedback regarding to the update serious, and look into it why for you there was no notification to prompt you to update the app.

Support from Veronika - she works for that Cookie-Consent-Tool - is the worst I have ever experienced. I wanted tiny changes in the function of the consent-tool, that most other consent tools offers automatically. We had a few weeks email-contact and it didnt help. Even a developer helped me, but a last change even he couldnt do. Veronika just repeated what she was texting in the emails and recommended that i should ask an external developer.
I will just find another Cookie-Consent-Tool, that and the support behind, cant recommend at all.

As we've communicated per email, what you aimed to achieve within our app might be possible with some Custom CSS (for which you might need to have some web developer expertise) but its not something that we can help you with within our product right now unfortunately.

We have used this app for almost five years but have decided not to continue using it. Initially, I was very satisfied with the tech support. The first time I needed assistance, the support representative was knowledgeable and resolved my issue promptly.
However, the second time, the tech support was slow and did not address my questions effectively, unlike her colleague.
After uninstalling the app, I encountered an error on our live website. The support team did not help me resolve this issue promptly, especially when compared to the response speed of other Shopify app supports.
Overall, I am very disappointed with the service this time.
Since the switch to "Complianz" we do have a lot of problems with this app.
E.g. on mobile devices (tested on Google Pixel 7A, Android 16) the banner pops up on every page we open. Test many different browsers (Chrome, FF, Opera, Brave). That essentially makes it impossible to browse our site or buy something!
Never had any problems with the "old" version of the app!

Everything does not function in a right way! You can't select every single cookie by itself now. It's not compliant for EU-Policies (thats very bad)
Before the UPDATE the cookiebanner was the best for Shopify. It had everything!!! NOW THIS very bad designed Cookiebanner ist slow and not useable at all anymore. We as Shopowners are insanely disappointed about the recent Updates.
Hope you will fix this in the future
