Contrado: Print on Demand

I finally placed an order after having the app installed for quite some time. Boy was I disappointed in the quality of a pair of track pants I ordered. There was a huge stitching defect on the front leg seam that is quite noticeable. I provided photos and an explanation to their company. Instead of offering a free replacement, they offered a small discount instead and consider that adequate compensation for THEIR error.

**Quality Products, but App Issues and Misleading Pricing and Shipping**

I chose Contrado because of their unique and high-quality products, which aren't typically available through traditional print-on-demand services.

Last fall, they informed artists about their focus on developing their drop shipping business. I decided to be patient with the transition, but several issues with their app and services have arisen:

- I placed test orders using test credit card numbers and clearly fake data. Their automated system processed these without any checks, resulting in an $800 charge to cover what was obviously a test order. This raises serious concerns about their ability prevent actual fraudulent orders.
- An app update caused all variants for over 100 products I imported into Shopify to display the same price. This issue has persisted for over two weeks without resolution.
- Another update corrupted all product images for their lampshade products, making them impossible to list for sale.
- Despite the information on their website, shipping costs are exorbitant. I factored in a maximum shipping price of $35.95 for a large item based on the information provided by their site, only to be hit with an additional $360 "bulky" shipping fee when fulfilling an order via Etsy. Customer service was apologetic but ultimately unhelpful, leaving me with a significant loss and a canceled order, affecting my standing on Etsy.

These issues have severely impacted my business, resulting in over four months of lost time creating products, transferring them to Shopify, and manually addressing numerous bugs. I no longer feel confident in continuing with Contrado and will seek a new production partner. Proceed with caution.

High quality products, fast shipping, and easy integration. I have been nothing but pleased with this POD company out of the many I've used!

I had a connection problem after an update and they fixed it. Works amazing. Best products to design out of all the apps and love the auto publish feature. The technical team is magnificent!

Very satisfied using Contrado to create beautiful pieces with my art. Got my samples in and am very impressed at their craftsmanship. High quality and details on each piece. Just what I was looking for! Fast production time, shipping and great customer service too!

5/24/24. UPDATE: was going great but now the service is not up to par. Ordered their new custom sliders. What they don't tell you is the width is the same as a man's shoe. The leather that holds your foot in place had a 1 inch gap around my foot. It is clear these are D not B width shoes and there is nothing written on their description about this. I will not be offering these shoes in my store because of the hassle of return requests this will bring and Contrado will not give you a refund, even if things like this are not stated on their website. Extremely disappointed.

I'm about to launch my store in November, using the Contrado app. Deepa (and sometimes the IT team also) at Contrado has been helping me patiently through my many email queries since I started building the store in May – so, so helpful. The customer service has been excellent. I look forward to seeing how the customer journey and customer reviews for the Contrado products go once I've launched...I'll review again after that! In the meantime, I can confirm that my experience with Contrado has been fab.

The relationship with Contrado it's so good, excellent. I'm in contact with them often and I receive a reply and good explanations of my questions always. Long-life to this service !!! Thanks for all !!!

I really LOVE Contrado. For one, customer support is superb. Second, the product quality is amazing, print is so crisp and clean, and the leather and silk (amidst other material options) are great. The shipping time and processing is really fast and efficient, too. Overall, I am SO glad I came across them. They are PERFECT for the artist looking to penetrate a more high end market place with their art - taking it to a "designer" "high fashion" level. For myself as an artist and fashion lover, this is the meeting of both worlds. I am so excited to see what they come out with next! Very pleased, highly recommend, and look forward to working with them for years to come!
