About Carter ‑ Discounts in Cart
DISCOUNT FIELD IN CART
Add a coupon field inside your theme's cart (page, drawer, ajax)
Single-click setup available for popular themes. Custom templates available for developers, too. Configs editable; change text labels, translate words, edit CSS or JS.
HAVE A DISCOUNT CODE?
Display a "Have a discount code?" link in cart, under the Checkout button
This feature allows customers to enter a discount code before checkout. Visually, it's a simple text link displayed under the checkout button in the cart page or drawer cart (ajax). Once clicked, it opens an order summary popup where customers can enter their discount code. You can either set it up automatically via a on/off button, or manually via the code snippet to insert in your cart's theme files.
Stack multiple discounts in a single coupon code
Smart deals are flexible and stacked discounts encapsulated in 1 coupon code, like: * 20% + free shipping * 10% on collection A and 20% on collection B * 15% discount up to a maximum of $X
Smart deals goes above and beyond Shopify's discounts to allow popular sales, like: * Discount that excludes some products or collections * Discount based on the email address (all emails ending with @company.com) * Buy X units for a fixed price
- For the "Have a discount code?" link under the checkout button in cart, it should work for all Shopify themes automatically.
- For the coupon field inside theme, 95% of the themes sold in the Shopify Themes Marketplace at themes.shopify.com have a single-click setup ready thanks to premade configurations.
If your theme is not in the list, you can still make the integration yourself in a few minutes, following our step-by-step instructions. Or we can do it for you for a one-time fee.
Advanced Usage - Show a coupon field anywhere in your store
It's now possible to code your own integration if you want to go further than our basic integration. Also, it's possible for developers to add custom templates directly from HTML. The "Have a discount code?" link can be put anywhere in any theme file or page with a simple copy/paste.
Works with Shopify Checkout and additional checkouts like Paypal, Google Pay in the cart page, drawer or ajax cart.

Quick, effective, responsive, thinking outside of the box ✨
We got a custom solution for our problem. It feels great.
All I ever wanted was to have a discount box BEFORE all the check out info. Carter does that. I LOVE IT.
DO NOT risk installing the app, they would charge you without any reason nor notification. I was charge $12.99 suddenly and they say I confirm their charging, so I delete the app and reinstall, find it shows $0 fee on the confirmation page but turn out I was charged $5.2 AGAIN!
Thanks for the feedback. There was a confusion here, let me sort it out. Shopify displays an Accept Charge gate screen which indeed shows that $0 will be charged, that a free trial will begin and that a monthly fee will be charged. I agree with you that it’s confusing, sadly app developpers like us have no control over that, Shopify owns and controls the content and design of this screen.
That being said, no Shopify app can charge a fee without the consent of the store owner, and that consent is given when clicking on the Approve charge button, on that same screen.
Also, our pricing is displayed in the Shopify App listing page where the app is installed.
That being said, we can refund the charges, either us directly if you reinstall the app or via email@example.com.
