I've been trying for a few days to install the app (the paid version) and need to grant access, but the email always comes up blank, no link to grant access. Shopify support investigated and saw that it's an API issue on the app developers end. Frustrating and I missed several booking opportunities because of this.

This is the most ridiculous free plan for a booking app. The free plan allows multiple bookings for the same time slot and only paid versions enables a proper calendar function! This means you do not have a free plan! Please do not do misleading marketing and do not steal people's time!
They hide the fact that clients can double book unless you pay $16 a month. Shady

That being said, it’s quite crazy that in today’s world, someone using a tool for 2 minutes can have as much weight in a review as a business that has been using it successfully for years.

If you had contacted us instead of reviewing us, we could have done the following things :
- we would have helped to setup it differently so you don't actually need to limit the booking number per timeslot
- we could have extended the trial duration so you're not impacted by the price until the moment you benefit from using us
-we could have given you a coupon code
Next time maybe give us a chance, we're simply human after all and we're just really trying our best to be fair and fit every service business on earth
The 7 day free trial seems to be untrue for any of the plans apart from the lowest one, so just be aware if that going into to testing this app. After getting confused, I asked for a refund of the highest tier after 30 minutes as it did not do what we needed, and unfortunately, since the free trial was false, we lost the $36.99 - We reached out for a refund, with absolutely no hard feelings, but we haven't received a response in 2 weeks. Also be warned of their reply to reviews, I can see they cannot handle feedback and tend to lash out at these.

I just want to let you know that billing is 100% handled by Shopify so it was not an issue because of my app and I would have told you that (and I would also have refunded you on the spot) if you had contacted me on the Livechat :(
To everyone reading that : I refunded them within 2h but still, they never got back to me once they had received their refund. Which is a bit harsh I admit.
Not exactly sure of what I did to deserve a 1-star review on this one.
By the way, they've closed their store a few days after leaving that review so I guess it might have been a competitor since all they did while being opened was to leave a 1-star review.

Yes it works without having to pay (in fact, more than 85% of people using Cowlendar are on the free plan).
Sexist & non stop harassment & insults FOR MONTHS!! Continually updates reply. MAJOR privacy violation with their repeated updated replies!! Do NOT download this app!! Developer has been harassing me NON STOP for months for writing a truthful review. Numerous emails asking me to give him 5 stars instead. I replied twice to leave me alone. He continued to repeatedly email me. 5 star reviews are fake! App does NOT work. Repeatedly told me to enable app in theme - it was - 10 minutes later - it's still NOT registered that app is in fact enabled. I logged out of Shopify repeatedly- logged back in - nothing. Uninstalled app and installed again - nothing. Customer service was useless - click enable - closed and it will show it's enabled - uhm - i just repeatedly told you it does NOT show that. Their repeatedly replies for months reply confirms blatant sexism, confirms harassment AND is a privacy violation. Furthermore, if this is how you reply - you just confirmed everything I wrote - I'm right - you're wrong. So for the 10th time - STOP HARASSING ME you lunatics. LEAVE ME ALONE! I wrote this months ago and you keep coming back to update and hurl more insults..
I have no idea what he/she's talking about. I actually had a long answer written but given what I read i'm worried about his/her sanity and I hope this person gets some peace in his/her life.
This app probably works but I had to post pone my Shopify Shop opening. I paused my shop and the app continued to charge me. SO I uninstalled the app and they continued to charge me despite confirming it was uninstalled. I am still waiting for a full refund as I never - not once used the app.
I would like to clarify that billing for apps on the Shopify platform is managed directly by Shopify and not by individual app developers.
