Cross Sell & Upsell by SSC

A belated review for this app which we actually installed at the launch of our shopify gallery back in August 2013!. At that stage the app certainly delivered exactly what we needed it to - present alternative sizes and colours of our bespoke artworks - but it did take hours to for us to set that up for every single product. Steve both solicited and clearly listened to our feedback and has made significant changes to the back end. Adding cross sells to new items takes only a fraction of the time it used. Nice work.

Great Application that puts you in control of Related Items and does what it should.

Support was also great in tuning the images to fit my theme. Great job.

Great app that does exactly what it is supposed to! Great functionality especially if you don't want an algorithm based product recommendation. I guess you could have two reasons for this:

1. you have a small number of products - then this is great as it is awesome value for money app or

2. you have complex products (we sell a couple of thousand Vitamins) and you don't trust the algorithms to recommend sensible products to your customers...

This works like a charm for us and integrates nicely and elegantly into our website - no one would notice its an app!!!

Great developer and customer service too as we enquired about some custom dev work and he was fair enough to recommend a different easier route!!!!

Added a month later: Just wanted to point out how awesome the customer service is - we found a problem with this apps interactions with another app and Steve fixed it overnight for free - although we are probably the only shop using both apps...

The problem with most cross-sell apps is they require a lot of traffic and data to get working intelligently and then they don't handle some of the most common issues with cross-selling: accessories or companion products.

Cross-sell is the easiest app to get the exact companion products you want to showcase on a product page. After one day of installation we sold enough accessories on our Classic Satchel page to pay for the app for a year.

Also the customer service is uncommonly amazing.

We have a custom theme and getting some apps to work correctly is frustrating. I've had to drop a few because I couldn't get them to work. Not Cross-Sell.

After installing the app on the FIRST screen you see you get a choice to either read instructions for easy installation or have some HUMAN help you do it. I have no idea how they can provide this service for free, but they do and I needed it and their support team got me setup almost immediately and now I have my products exactly how I want them.

The only thing I can add is install this app before they come to their senses and start charging more for it.

Exactly what I was looking for to refer matching items that were in different shop categories and make it easier for my customer's to find. The customer service was quick to respond and get this set up to match my custom theme. The best part is that the app itself is quick to load the items that I am searching for to create the cross sell... very beneficial to a store with many of items.

This is a great app. Install is quick and the support is very timely. Easy to customize options within the app as well, very intuitive.

Cross-Sell is a ROCK SOLID app that delivers exactly as promised, in an intuitive environment that makes the process of adding specific, recommended products a very simple task.

With a huge inventory in this particular shop, I've been dreading the prospect of customizing recommended products. While I've only had Cross-Sell installed for less than 24 hours, I already consider this app to be a crucial component in the future of this shop and any future projects I have planned with Shopify.

Brilliant - does exactly what we needed it to do. We sell swimwear and lingerie and wanted to be able to show customers the matching bras and briefs from the product collections. We couldn't operate our store without it!

Cross-Sell provided the perfect solution for maintaining complete control over the recommended products area of my current shops.

With close to 1000 products across 2 stores, I was concerned that this type of customization was going to take forever to implement.
