The reporting is slow and unreliable. If you schedule for 12, it might arrive at any time between 12 and 1 am or even later so not suitable for time-sensitive reports. Customer support is not in real time, they just have a standard message saying they'll work on it and then disappear for days - really frustrating if your business relies on reporting.
UPDATE: They migrated us to their new platform which is a little better, the delay is now not more than 30 mins.

I have been using this app for 3 months and the software is great! We have over 30k skus and have no problem running the report. And one more thing. The customer service/ support are friendly & supportive!

I had written my own report and Data Export cloned/copied this onto my other 3 sites. Quick, simple and efficient.

The app seems to do what is needed on a pretty small budget. There are some interface options that are a little confusing but gets the overall job done. I would say the app is worth it if you need a light weight app that is cheap to run reports on various parts of your business.

I have been looking for a way to aggregate inventory. For example, the t-shirts we sell may have different designs printed on them, but they are the same base product for the same color and size. So I wanted to create an aggregate inventory for that purpose. After looked for this feature in many apps, I thought giving Data Export a try because rich reporting functionality and the flexibility of creating custom reports.

The support staff was super helpful. After I signed up for the product, he immediately jumped in the to create the report. He spent hours with me to fine tune the report to meet my needs.

I needed an automatic extraction for our fulfilment provider. It does the job well. Support very helpful and responsive.
I am not giving 5 stars as I needed to interact with support to get it right (due probably more to the structure of Shopify than the app itself) and as the interface is not totally user-friendly. In a nutshell, perfect if you need a regular extract whose format won't change.
If you need multiple extractions that need adapting all the time, this might not be for you.

Their help chat personnel is very responsive and incredibly helpful for complex requests. We have had multiple niche requests and most if not all have been fulfilled. My only qualm, is that the User interface could use a bit of tweaking.
