DEAR connects seamlessly with Shopify, very easy to manage transactions, inventory movements and fulfillment processes. The interface is really user friendly and the learning curve isn't steep at all. Really simple to get things going. I have two feedbacks though:
1 - Email support answer times: given we're in Toronto, it's a bit of a problem when support is mainly active outside of working hours ...
We've tried several inventories programs for Shopify and DEAR Inventory is by far the best. Our store has an extremely complex inventory so setup for us was a bit more difficult than it would be for the average Shopify user but every time we had a problem Josh was there to help us! Extremely happy we decided to give DEAR Inventory a try.
We have looked at a lot of inventory management systems and migrated from Tradegecko to DEAR. Extremely impressed with the product and system. It has a lot of manufacturing features that we do not use however for tracking purchase orders, bundles, composite products it is excellent. It is easy to duplicate products to quickly add or CSV can be imported. There is never going to be the perfect IMS ...
Solved our cogs and accounting problems , used vend before but with retail, online and distribution- vend was too basic. The only reason we gave dear 4 stars is because we still haven't fully tested xero- shopify and dear link for months. Currently all seems amazing. The initial switch was a head ache but worth the seamless finace integration in the end.
It allows you to monitor inventory more easily. It also integrates very well with Xero. The support team was very accommodating and helpful with their knowledge of the app, even though we encountered some issues. The downsides for me are:
1. Having to use the Messenger app for support.
2. if you allocate a credit note to a supplier invoice on Xero it won't sync to DEAR.
3. It doesn't push ...
This is by far the best app to manage inventory, PO, sales, assembly and productions. It saved us tons of times. The customer service has been stellar ! I highly recommend this app for anyone who wants a solid inventory management systems
Dear have been fantastic to deal with. Our team have on occasions had to contact them for support and each time they reply fast and offer fantastic support. They did some some unpaid work for us updating templates etc which was fantastic. Thanks Dear great company to work with.
I would never in 1000 years recommend someone uses this system. It's incredibly overcomplicated and slow & not the right fit for an e-commerce company. Unless you have a team big enough to have someone dedicated full time to dear problem solving I would stay away at all costs. DEAR has allowed us to manage our inventory seamlessly for the first time ever. Our stock is now always up to date, we can manage our invoicing and production orders all from one place. The support offered has also been amazing, with easy to follow tutorials as well as quick email and phone support. Would highly recommend.
DEAR really helped us integrate our inventory with Shopify. The cost is also very reasonable. Would recommend.
