Thank you for this! This has enabled me to sell my music digitally online!. One complaint I have received from a customer though, is that there is a popup advert after paying for a product with Digital Download, and the download page. Not sure if this is the app or if this is a shopify thing?

This app is absolutely worthless and, just like everything else on Shopify, they don't have a clue how to fix anything and I always end up having to go spend money on an app that actually works. This app does not allow you to control when the digital download is sent to your customer, so if you're using this app as a add-on download to a physical product, it won't send it to the customer until the order is fulfilled. We need the download link sent when the order is paid for. Seems logical, right? Yea, not to Shopify. You also cannot edit the email that's sent. Nothing about this app is useful and Shopify gives you the same answer they give every time...."We will send this to our developers to have a look at it". Yea, right.

Thank you for taking the time and sharing this feedback with us. While you can enable automatic fulfillment for digital products (https://bit.ly/3pvcVMq), this isn't recommended for digital products with physical components involved. However, one option is to create your digital products separately, so that our app can send the download links as soon as the order is paid for.

If you're looking to edit the email template, then we've also got a step-by-step guide on how to do that here: https://bit.ly/3dD3RTb. We'd also recommend reviewing the notification variable reference (https://bit.ly/3AzpSLH) when editing your email template.

That being said, we understand that being able to automatically fulfill digital orders regardless of the physical components can be beneficial for our merchants, like yourself, and feedback like this can help our Developement team continue making improvements on future releases. It worked well for over a year, but now it hardly works. My store sells digital tutorials, now customers are complaining that they can't get the file. I am posting this manually but it does so many times. I now need to explain to everyone why they cannot download their files ... I see that many have encountered this problem and it has not been resolved. I used the Shopify store because they promised that I could use digital downloads. now I can't use it ... I found other apps, they are paid and now I have to pay almost 50 dollars a month for this ... I'm very disappointed ...

I am enjoying this component, and I want to suggest, perhaps add on a couple functions to make it an even better experience for users. 1. File Uploaded Timestamp
2. Auto Or Manual Expiration Date for once order has been created. For example, download link only works for 7 days., etc

Usually the app is doing what it should. If there was not the big BUT:
But I have serious problems getting uploads done. It works only in a maximum of 25% of the cases. Sometime yes, sometimes no. Have to wait for a couple of days and then like a miracle it works... Maybe. Of course this is nothing I would call a fully functional app and it is crippling workflow and sales seriously. Would be nice if someone from the support team could help me with this.

This app cannot send out updates if the volume of customers and purchases on the given digital asset is too high.

This is a good app and I would rate it 5 stars if it wouldn't mark a product as fulfilled if "requires shipping" is checked. I have books that have 3 options: digital, physical, or both. I let customers add the digital for a fraction of the cost of buying both separately and it's been a great upsell for me.

Problem is that if I have Shopify auto fulfill the "both" order it marks the entire line item as fulfilled and thus the entire order and risks that order not being fulfilled.

I don't want to create several different products that are visible to customers and shopify does not allow hidden products or products with no category to be added to a bundle.

I did contact shopify and they said I had 2 options: fulfull all orders manually or give customers a 100% discount code for the digital product. Both options are a hassle and I'm still looking for a good solution.

As a side note to a below comments, I have received zero complaints about being able to download the file from the link provided, and had no problem figuring out how to set the download for a product.

Please upgrade app to allow multiple files per product. Zip files are difficult for many customers to open and require that we send them alternate download links.

This app isn't working... Emails showing "not sent". I made a promo for customers to get a free eBook with purchase of a particular product, and none of them are receiving the emails...
