Half-baked software – Wasted hours with support

I installed and used this app for 3 days. My verdict: the software is completely half-baked. I only created 2 fairly simple campaigns, and in both cases, I had to spend hours chatting with support just to get basic features to work. Even the most fundamental elements (like proper text display) had to be manually fixed by their team for my store. For commercial, paid software, this is an absolute dealbreaker. Ultimately, I decided not to keep the app and uninstalled it. A complete waste of time!

To top it off, here is a direct quote from one of their support reps in the chat:

“You shouldn't have had to fix the app yourself, repeatedly test its behavior, or watch us manually adjust the widget positioning to make the campaign display correctly. I understand why this gives the impression of an unprofessional process and makes you feel like the app isn't fully ready for use.”

Great app with useful features. I had an issue with the progress/shopping bar, but the support team fixed it quickly. Excellent customer support. The app would be even better if these bugs were resolved before release.

We run a jewellery store on the Prestige theme and needed a buy-one-get-one-half-price campaign that didn't look like a discount app had been bolted onto the site.

Discounty handled the mechanics without issue, we tested a quantity discount first, then switched the whole thing to Buy X Get Y late in the process, and rebuilding took minutes. The excludes, scheduling and combination settings are all where you'd expect them.

What actually stood out was support. Aaron and Dela both replied within minutes, on a weekend, and took on custom CSS to match the widgets to our theme rather than telling us it wasn't possible. Dela flagged a problem with our setup before we'd noticed it ourselves. That's rare.

Straightforward to configure, genuinely flexible, and the people behind it are quick and competent.

The app worked perfectly and we were able to set it up very quickly right before a sale weekend. It solved a problem we have had for years with Shopify. Chat team were extremely responsive and helpful.

We've been testing Discounty for our Shopify store over the last few days, and we're genuinely impressed.

The app offers a wide range of discount options and is easy to set up. It provides much more flexibility than Shopify's native discount features, especially for tiered and quantity-based promotions.

What really stands out, however, is the support.

Nilou has been absolutely outstanding. Every question was answered quickly, professionally, and with genuine interest. Instead of simply saying "that's not possible," she took the time to understand our requirements, created custom CSS adjustments for our widget, and forwarded several of our feature suggestions directly to the development team.

As a merchant, it's refreshing to work with a team that truly listens to customer feedback and is committed to continuously improving their product.

The response times have been incredibly fast, communication has been friendly and knowledgeable, and we've always felt that our feedback was appreciated.

If the requested features are implemented, Discounty will become one of the strongest discount apps available on Shopify.
