We bought this AP and it didn't work. I contacted support and they said I needed a special API from Shopify which only comes with the top-end Shopify plan or $20 a month. I got the $20 a month API and it still didn't work. I contacted support and I got the below response. I would not recommend this AP to anyone. Typically with new stores we have an initial call, to see if Zonos would be a good for your international initiatives. Then we would get you in contact with our onboarding team to make sure everything is integrated accurately to avoid any complications. We don't provide any support for self-installs unfortunately. We do have a pricing agreement in place that all of our customers sign when integrating our services. We charge $1,000 for the initial setup fee, and then our pricing is transactional based after that. I wouldn't be able to provide you with any technical support, but I'm happy to get an agreement in place so we can get our onboarding team involved. They would be able to run through the configurations and do some tests to ensure everything is working properly.

Horrendous and confusing 3 weeks of trying to get this app set up- there is nothing easy or straight forward about it as advertised. Waste of time.

The Zonos team is fantastic!
First, I moved from Global-E to Zonos. Best decision. Better rates, better service and easier integration. The team at Zonos is super responsive. It once took me 12 days to get someone on a call from Global-E during an emergency.
Second, the Zonos team went above and beyond in helping my organization solve problems with warehouse issues we were having. This was out of the Zonos scope of services but they happily helped.
Third, you can count on the Zonos team. They say what they will do and then do it.

Very smooth and straight forward onboarding process. Our onboarding specialist Curtis was very responsive and always willing to go out of his way to help us however we need to. Our products are set up a bit differently and we were able to figure out solutions to get to make Zonos work for us. Definitely recommend working with them!

We use this app to calculate landed cost. Our customers are able to pay taxes and duties at checkout. Customer support is outstanding. They helped us get set up and running!
Really excited to open up our store to international customers. Onboarding was super easy and being able to calculate and collected full landed cost is an absolute game changer for anyone shipping international. :)

I rarely leave a negative comment. I was so excited about this app. I tried to install it and I had a question about something. I sent an email to support team. Almost 24 hours later I called because I did not receive any response to email. This makes me worry because if I need to get in touch with the support team for an important issue, I do not know how long that will take. We use a lot of apps for our store and every single one of them provides excellent customer service. I really would love to use this app because it looks like this is the only app that is available on Shopify. I understand it may take more than 24 hours to respond sometimes but they should have sent an acknowledgement email at least. There is no chat option, you can’t reach out to support through the number they provide… I hope things get better so that we can use the app. If that happens, I will be sure to modify my review here.
Zonos started off great, had it for over a year with not one issue. This year they are clearly going through some ‘changes’ I.e expanding too fast. Constant issues, they make changes to our store tax set up without evening letting us know, one minute charging no tax for a country and the next minute they are. Meaning all our website text is incorrect about shipping. The reply is the government have changed and it’s now mandatory to collect x amount in this country, well Zonos, how about an email to your stores letting them know! Rather than letting them go for days thinking sales are slow to find out customers are now paying hefty fees at checkout went they weren’t before! It’s called communication or a blanket email that you have/are changing the current set up to do XYZ for instance. Pretty naive to think you can just go around changing stuff and not have an effect on checkout conversion. I think the best one was when zone started charging duties on or EU products to the EU. Without telling us, once we realised I received a reply that they had a new blanket rule about preferential rules of origin and had decided our goods didn’t meet the criteria, yet they didn’t think to tell us and lastly were wrong! Our goods are of EU origins and are duty free. Hopeless. Also now makes me laugh support are Monday to Friday, great when they make changes on a Friday and disappear for the weekend leaving the store loosing money. AVOID

We recognize that the issues with Brexit and the new UK VAT taxation law have been frustrating, and we apologize for the problems you’ve experienced when dealing with the changes that came because of this new way of countries handling/enforcing tax collection. We always strive to make sure we get the proper information before making changes on our end, but we recognize that our in-app communication and emails may not have reached the person that needed to see them. For these reasons, we apologize and hope to learn from these mistakes and do better for our customers. Couldn't install app and all support does is bill your account, they don't help with anything other than asking if you read the documents.

We're sorry your first impression was not satisfactory, but we're happy to assist should you change your mind and decide to give us another try.
WORST experience I have ever had. First, the only "support" you receive is on how to get charged an additional $150 on top of the monthly fee and transaction fees, to assist you during the setup. Once I had everything set up correctly and launched my boutique, I lost 90% of conversions at checkout because the ZONOS app was calculating the WRONG fees for VAT and Duties, showing customers 4 to 10 times the actual amounts which resulted in abandoned carts and most probably forever lost customers. I usually do not take the time to write reviews when they are negatives, but this time I wanted to prevent other entrepreneurs to lose so much money and effort to a defective product and terrible customer service.

We recognize and apologize that you did not receive the assistance you needed in a timely fashion. We hope you will give us a second opportunity to have our Technical Support team work with you to configure your store correctly so that customers are seeing accurate duty and tax calculations. took me a few months to make my decision on getting this app.. But now that it's integrated makes shipping worldwide so much easier... It's linked up to my UPS account and DHL and don't have to worry about customers not paying duties and fees and loosing sales.. everything is paid of front.. I strongly recommend this app for anybody that has to ship worldwide.. dont have to worry about headaches and NOT only that!! i know us hustlers don't have time... well this just added some more time for me to growl my company..
Our shop installed Zonos to ease the process of international shipping! It has been such a great tool for us, as well as our customers, to allow an accurate estimate and pre-pay of duties and taxes on international orders. Also, the customer service at Zonos is amazing--they are always on top of it and responsive! Thank you to the Zonos team for making international shipping so easy!
Great customer support and a very streamlined product. An absolute must for international sales to ensure every customer knows the true door-to-door cost of their purchase.
Spent weeks trying to come up with a solution for full transparency while shipping internationally. Dead end, and horror stories across the board. Finally ran across Zonos. NAILED IT... switch to DDP label, and then charge athlete at checkout. This could really elevate our world presence and let the Atreyu brand compete in the big leagues... by the time we have shoes circulating across the globe, other brands will have wondered why they haven't used the app yet! Its a game changer... cant wait to see how far we can take Atreyu with this new wave of e-commerce management of transparency.
For international sales DDP calculation, Zonos is the only app, a must have. Customer service is fantastic. Taylor is a legend! Set up either tiered price shipping rates based on cart value or just carrier calculated shipping rates - either was is easy to do through the Zonos dashboard. Shipping, duties and taxes are clearly separated in the cart and clear to your customers. I would suggest, if you use an IMS, to check out Order Tagger as well to add a note to each order that "DDP" is included in the sale, then set your automation rule at your IMS level to notify your carrier that the shipper pays DDP on behalf of the customer. Zonos is the only (and best) solution for DDP if you want to offer your customers a transparent and easy to manage duties and tax collection process.
The customer service is fantastic. International shipping is new territory and Mark worked with me through any obsticals I encountered. I know they will be there to help if I run into any other problems.

I had been searching for a solution to help deal with issues we kept running into with international orders. When I found Zonos I was skeptical, since they promised a solution I couldn't find anywhere else. But I'm happy to say the Zonos app delivered on all promises and then some. We ship to countries all over the worlds and Zonos has removed the headache of dealing with duties and refused packages. And their customer service is excellent! The app helps us save time and money while allowing us to continue selling to our international customers.
Easy to install and a great user experience. Automatically calculates at checkout and no surprise duty fees for our customers.
