Great, app. Super Simple to use. Only wish they had support to update variant description with csv along with other product data. Not sure if Shopify API allows that. But nonetheless, great app and great support as well.
Thank you for the review. Currently, we support CSV imports via any 3rd party app that allows bulk metafield import. We have plans to introduce CSV support. This is on our roadmap and I can let you know once this rolls out. Thank you again.
This app solved one of the biggest drawbacks with Shopify not natively supporting the use of variant metafields. Mircea went above and beyond to customize the app to our specific needs, and did so with a lighting fast response time, answering any questions we had along the way. I highly recommend Sections Design and their full suite of apps including Variant Description OMG to anyone looking for a code free solution with robust customization for managing product variant metafields and more.

It's good, but could be better. Doesn't seem to integrate well with Shopify CSV import, when you want to edit a selection of products (of which we have quite a few) also a back-up/undo/"revert to previous version" feature would be really useful. These adding extras would make it more value for money. Otherwise considering the lack of these type of apps, this is a good app.

The Shopify CSV import only imports products, not variant descriptions. This is how Shopify works. But if you need bulk CSV functionality we have a solution. Please contact us at support@typefolly.zendesk.com and I can help you out.
There is an undo function. Our editor works just like the native Shopify one. You can undo just as in any editor using Ctrl + Z. If you want to revert to the initial product description, just delete the variant description. It is as simple as that. Please reach out to us. I am happy to help you!
Very good customer support. Next day help was exactly what I needed with very good explanations of how it works when installed. Being able to add custom text where you want it for individual variants is a great option.
I've used Variant Description for few days (https://www.frenchpresscoffee.com/). Very simple to install and use. Really helpful if you have multiply products variants. Writing unique descriptions for each variant improves overall shopping experience for the customer. Highly recommend this app.

While the product description can be changed according to the options, the option name can also be added after the product name above.
