While the app delivers the visual appeal and functionality we were aiming for, its handling of CSV files is a major drawback. The inability to upload new CSVs without overwriting existing data severely limits scalability. Additionally, the export function produces proprietary structured data that’s impossible to work with, making it frustrating to match or update product information efficiently. If you're looking to build and manage your own product database, this app introduces unnecessary complications and inefficiencies. Not recommended for catalog management at scale.
Hi,
Thank you so much for your detailed feedback and for sharing your experience with EasySearch. We truly appreciate your time and your honest insights, which highlight both the strengths and the current limitations of our app.
You're absolutely right that uploading a new CSV file currently overwrites any existing data. As for the export format, we’d like to clarify that it was originally designed to serve as a backup of your EasySearch configuration, rather than a structured export for editing or reimporting as part of a regular workflow. That said, we completely understand your point, and it makes total sense.
We're already working on improving this and plan to make the export format much more flexible and user-friendly to better support of ongoing product data management.
In the meantime, if you need help customizing or handling data in a specific way, our support team is here and happy to assist however we can.
Thanks again for your honest review. Your feedback truly helps shape the direction of EasySearch, and we're committed to supporting our merchants every step of the way.
Best regards,
NexusMedia team
This app has never worked correctly. We have tried customer support and no one seems to know what’s wrong with it. Year make model will show 15 different vehicles and products that are not related to your search. We really wanted this to work. But they blame Shopify instead of fixing the issues.
Hi,
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear EasySearch didn't meet your expectations. We've never intended to blame Shopify for any issues - our references to Shopify were only about their payment system and how to cancel the subscription by removing the app.
The app is designed to work based on the configured database, linking search criteria to results. So, if you experience discrepancies between in-app and native Shopify search results, this typically indicates incomplete product assignments to search criteria.
Our main priorities are product quality and top-notch customer assistance. We are available 24/7 online to assist you as soon as possible, so contact us directly with more specific details about your issues.
Best regards,
The NexusMedia team.
You can not even get into the app it just takes you to an upgrade page
So much for a free trial
Literally the worst app i have even seen
Hi there,
Thanks for your feedback.
I am sorry you had a confusing experience with Shopify's billing system. Here is how it works for free trials:
1. When you install an app, you're prompted to approve a charge for the chosen plan before you can begin using the free trial.
2. No payment is taken during the trial period. If you uninstall the app before the trial ends, you won't be charged.
3. If you decide to keep using the app beyond your free trial, the subscription charge will start automatically after the trial ends.
It sounds like you only saw the subscription charge page and might not have realized that Shopify requires this step to activate the trial. I understand it can be confusing if you're new to how billing approvals work on the Shopify App Store.
If you'd like to give EasySearch another try (it's completely free for the trial period), we'd be happy to help you set it up correctly.
