What a fantastic App! I found them initially after I had an order that I needed to edit, and Edit Order was exactly what I needed. I found the App very straightforward and an asset for my business! Thanks so much!!!
Finally an app that allows me to change an order after its been placed! Only reason why not 5 star is when an order has already been fulfilled, and you edit the order it automatically sends the fulfillment request again which can get confusing.
Edit Order has been super helpful. Adding this App has given us so much more flexibility to manage orders.

The customer support for this app has been quick, responsive, and friendly.
We've learned a few things the hard way in regards to how the app impacts our accounting and shipping:
- Even though it's nice to have order numbers preserved with a suffix, we had to turn that function OFF because the order number with suffix was not getting passed to our fulfillment program or our data reporting app. It was sending a different order number that was not showing up in the Shopify admin. This was creating a confusing mess that was time consuming to parse out. SOLUTION = Uncheck that setting. The canceled and new order won't be related by order number, but now we just write a note in the new order note to link the new order number back to the old order number.
- The default setting in the app is to preserve the timestamp of the original order on the new order so the canceled and new order will show up together in the order feed. Again, this seemed like a great feature, but we also had to turn that function OFF because Shopify was using the timestamp date for monthly financial reports, while our data reporting app was using the actual date of creation for the new order. This created problems on the accounting side if an order was created in one month, but edited in a different month. SOLUTION = uncheck that setting as well.
I'm still giving 5 stars because if you have the settings right for your needs, the app works really well and helps provide flexibility that we wouldn't have otherwise. Plus, the support has been amazing and they've even made some changes based on our requests.
2 issues why we have to switch and cannot use Edit Orders further:
1. Edit Orders doesn't carry over the payment history from the original cancelled order. This makes it impossible to integrate with QuickBooks because the integration tool we use pulls in the transaction based on the payment method.
2. The sales tax tables in Edit Orders must be incorrect or not up-to-date. On one of our edited orders the initial Shopify order charged the customer one tax rate, then when Edit Orders revised the order, it overrode the tax rate charged the customer, which resulted in us getting paid out less than we should have from Shopify and our sales tax liability reports to be inaccurate and cause a manual adjustment to be necessary.
I've used this app for years then about 9 months ago I noticed that the shipping fee on the original order was no longer being cleared. I have contacted support several times, and they simply blamed shopify, refusing to fix the issue with their app. I can no longer use this app as my accounting numbers get all screwed up. I now simply create a duplicate order with a 100% discount for the corrections. This is a much simpler and free solution to my problem.
We’re sorry we weren’t able to help in the way you needed. Previously, when Edit Order cancelled an order, Shopify would show that as the order being zeroed out. When Shopify redesigned their order list, they now only zero out restocked items excluding shipping, even though the entire order has been cancelled. We’ve provided feedback to Shopify regarding this, but have no control over their design decisions. We're happy to hear that you were able to figure out something that works for you.
I don't know what we would do without this app. It solved so many problems relating to editing orders and it couldn't be easier or more comprehensive. I highly recommend it.
This app used to be great, but now it will not allow me to uncancel an order anymore.
I've emailed support five times with ZERO response in three weeks time.
For something I am PAYING for, that is terrible customer service. VERY unhappy and will be canceling my app.

This app solves so many shortcomings of Shopify and the support is beyond great! They are constantly taking feedback and making improvements. My one big downside for this app is that it really negatively impacts our reporting. Between the cancelled orders showing up (easy to filter out) and the adjustment orders duplicating sales (really hard to filter out), it's pretty hard to see accurate sales numbers. But even that is still worth all the functionality we've gained with being able to help customers change their orders or place more complicated custom orders.
