UPDATE: I have had the issue rectified with a new notification rule 'toggle' feature. I appreciate that, thank you for your prompt response.

Recent update has killed the simplicity this app had - the app now forces email notifications to customers, which I can't seem to be able to turn off. For us, the idea was to track what customers are requesting to help with demand forecasting, then segment these customers within shopify's ecosystem and carry out email marketing from there using our existing brand templates. I don't want another email marketing tool outside shopify's native app

I completely understand what you were trying to achieve with our app — using Back in Stock to track customer demand and support your forecasting, while keeping customer segmentation and email marketing within Shopify using your existing brand templates.
I’m very sorry that our recent update disrupted that workflow and caused unnecessary inconvenience for you. This was something we didn’t consider carefully enough when updating the feature, especially for merchants like you who rely on the app primarily for demand tracking rather than email marketing.
I’ve already reached out to our development team and asked them to address this urgently. We’ve also restored your previous settings so that your setup can work as it did before the update.
