Such a useful tool to have if you have a medium-to-large size catalog. Just now, I used to add a new tag / tag value to all products. Without matrixify, its so cumbersome in shopify to do something like what I just did. But with Matrixify, it was just three columns in excel: Variant SKU, tags, and tags command (MERGE function - to merge the new tag into the existing list of tags). If you're looking for a product-data management solution... matrixify was the answer for us! One last comment: Their AI-chatbot is money! I can never remember all the command functions, so I often ask it what to use, explaining that I am trying to update a metafield or whatever - the answers are quick, show clear understanding, and the answers are right.

Very powerful tool. It can be a bit finicky getting the column names perfect, and the documentation kind of sucks, but once you get it dialed in it works great for not only import large batches of products, but also quickly bulk editing them as well. Would highly recommend.

But seriously, if you have a suggestion how to make the documentation better, please, write to our Support, we are very open to improving it. It's honestly challenging to organize so much information about each column, and how they fit together - we tried many ways. One of the ways is just to ask our AI Assistant Maibo.

Many times more powerful and flexible than the native Shopify import/export tool. Matrixify is a must have if you have app when:
1. you have lots of products and variants to update
2. you want to optimize Google Merchant Center feed (and other feeds)
3. you have regular updates for price, cost, inventory, availability et cetera from master product file
4. you have meta data

We have used several apps for bulk editing. This app is saving us countless hours in managing and bulk editing our catalog of 1000+ listings. It supports all products and collection metafields. Matrixify is a must for any online merchant with a large catalog and needing to bulk edit using a spreadsheet format.

Game changer when it comes to managing your store, you can export and import any data field for literally everything within Shopify. If you have a Shopify store of any kind, this is a MUST-HAVE app.

A disastrous app. Absolutely terrible.
It doesn't solve a single problem because the user interface is a total nightmare. It constantly throws errors at you without providing any explanation or solution. Using this app is practically impossible—it feels like it was designed with no clear purpose in mind.
And here is the most critical part: The moment you start using it, you are instantly charged $20, regardless of whether it actually works for you or not (this bill will hit your account next month).
Throw it away. Do not let sellers like us get lost in this sea of useless apps only to lose our hard-earned money. Avoid it at all costs!

For the imports done with Matrixify, the app UI provides a summary of any data errors, and you can also download a detailed Import Results file to review comments, warnings, and errors for every item in the import. This allows you to fix your data directly in the Results file and reimport it.
For simple use-cases you can and should use the native Shopify admin Import. Matrixify app resolves various more advanced issues use-cases which are not natively supported in Shopify Admin export/import.
Paid charges only occur after a user actively selects a plan and approves the charge through Shopify's billing confirmation. We recommend testing with available free Demo plan before committing to a paid subscription. Using the available free plan would not generate any charges in the store until user manually selects plan and approves the app charge.
We would love if you could respond to our support messages so that we can together look into what issues you had with your imports and help you use the app to the fullest.

One thing however, I found out after messing around for a week is that Matrixify does not play well with Excel and CSV files. Users need to access Googles "SHEETS" to create, Export and Import shopify CSV file to be successful!

About the Excel and CSV files - Matrixify fully support those formats, too. You do not have to use the Google Sheets - it's just one of formats to use.
Please, write to our Support about the issues you had with the Excel and CSV files, we will either fix those if it's a bug, or will explain, how to work with them.
E.g. one typical failure with Excel app is if you just open the CSV file in Excel, it might break the lines from multi-line Body HTML. But that's the Excel issue itself, not Matrixify. To safely open any CSV files in Excel, create a new file, and choose Data -> Get Data. This method loads CSV files into Excel safely, even with multi-line Body HTML texts.
