Exemptify allows us to manage EU VAT in Shopify.

Concept of the app is great but unfortunately prices in Shopify must be net of VAT. If this had an option to deduct VAT from the price rather than only add VAT then it would have been fantastic. If you are in the EU and your prices are already net then this is great.

Works great! Had a small trouble with VAT prices update somewhere on our theme but the support was really fast and got it working no-time!! Thank you!

It's ok if you only do VAT deduction and your sales strategy is ok with having different total price for every EU member state. So, If you run EU wide advertising (for example finalprice on product X is 19.99 across EU states) then this app will not work as it will require the shopify option "calculate tyxes based on customer location" to be enabled. And that makes it impossible to have the same price with VAT, as it will always be calculated based on the price without your store's location VAT and then VAT will be added on top for every market in OSS system. So 19.99 will be 21.30 or 17.56 in some coutnries... After reply from support this is not a feature they'd care about.

I did the installation myself with no knowledge of coding, it was rather easy. If you have no clue or are afraid, you can ask them to do it for you. It is very important for me to display both VAT and non VAT prices in my shop and this does it excellently.

It will most likely cause you some problem with currency conversion, but you can ask them kindly to make an auto-refresh when you change currency in your shop and it works like a charm. The staff was very helpful and responsive.

Worth the investment for sure.

Kein Problem in Verbindung mit Bruttopreisen und funktioniert in Verbindung mit der App easybill, die wir für die Fakturierung verwenden. Neben dem steuerfreien Einkauf sind auch Rabatte möglich. Neben der Angabe der Bruttopreise, die wir für die Endkunden benötigen, ist parallel die Angabe der Nettopreise möglich, was für unser B2B Kunden perfekt ist.
Der Support ist außerordentlich kompetent, schnell und lösungsorientiert.

Great App, very simple and a good solution to VAT issues that Shopify should by now have sorted for companies trading in Europe.
Easy to install even for someone with little coding expertise. I contacted the developper for some help as we wanted a small change and they got back to us within 24 hours, discussed what we needed and changed the code for us. Really can't fault their customer service.
