After spending 2 hours trying to import orders, I can say there is
bad, worst and then comes this app.
Template privided is useless. Fields are not recognized. Interface is confusing. Highly unrecommended.
I'm sorry you had such a hard time with the import and weren't satisfied with the app or templates we provide.
We've always been upfront that it takes a little bit of work to get the templates correct (they are more of a starting point to help you get started) as migrating from another platform or CSV format isn't always straightforward. We also recommend testing before you do a full import which you didn't do. It's hard to get everything right without running tests, this is why we offer 50 free credits and give you the ability to delete orders and get credits back.
As for fields not being recognized, we tried to help you as you didn't properly map the fields. Based on our email interactions and the logs of your imports, the issues you were having had to do with not reading through our documentation, as the things you are complaining about are configuration options clearly stated in our documentation and the in-app help. The app has no problem recognizing any fields, you just didn't map them properly even as we tried to help.
We take feedback very seriously so thank you for being honest about your experience and we are always looking for ways to improve.
so difficult - there should be a basic quick version of this....if you dont need all of the data...though Elizabeth was quick coming with email help....if someone had been available for 20mins zoom or teams then we would have solved it...but here i am 6 hours later and no further forward
I'm sorry you had a hard time with the import and weren't satisfied with the support. We worked with you letting you know from the beginning that you didn't have all the data needed for the import. You were trying to import customer spend data directly, which the Shopify API doesn't support. We were up front about this from the beginning when you emailed in, even recommending that you look for another app in the app store that might be a better fit for you. We were clear from the start to try and ensure no time was wasted.
We've always been very upfront about only offering email support and responded multiple times during the day and in a timely manner. We were very thorough in explaining what is needed and upfront when the app can't support the data you wanted to import.
As for the refund you requested, according to our records you never purchased any credits so your account was never charged. You were still using the 50 free credits.
Did the app just break and is useable now?
The app is working fine; we haven't had any problems with any merchant uploads.
You sent us an email about an order not being imported because the SKUs you uploaded could not be found in your store. We checked to see if there was a problem with the app or if the SKUs in your file were not in your store, and when we searched for the SKUs using Shopify's Product API, nothing came back.
We let you know that our system treats the SKUs as case-sensitive, as our documentation clearly states, to see if there is a case-sensitivity issue. Instead of helping us troubleshoot your data, you told us we were incorrect and needed to fix it, even though the issue was with your file rather than our app.
We tried to work with you to determine the issue, but you were unwilling to cooperate and sent us a short and frankly unprofessional response. We've always been willing to help merchants no matter what the problem.
We're always happy to help if there are any upload errors, whether the error is with the data being uploaded or if something else is going on.
Massfulfill does a good job, but this is a nice premium option with a lot more function. Wish Shopify built this into their systems.
Importing data between 2 e-commerce sites could be a PITA, EZ Importer made it so much easier and tons less stressful. Once the data was mapped, importing data was a breeze. I love that I could buy only the credits I needed for my data and that the credits were not overpriced. Highly recommend this app for order data migration.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Problem solver and game-changer for all our affiliate accounts on drop-ship orders. I receive orders overnight from partners and just upload into EZ importer and voila it goes right into my Shopify. They helped me set it up too which was fantastic.
Believe the hype - the customer service level was outstanding! Elizabeth was extremely knowledgeable and patient every step of the way. I migrated my web shop from WooCommerce to Shopify and this app was helpful with transferring all my orders. The app allows to you run countless tests before your final import, so you can perfect your data. My only suggestion would be to import different currencies. The API didn't recognize the comma placement in euros used to separate the integral part of a number from the decimal part, so I had to replace all the commas to decimals for the price to import properly.
Elizabeth was soooo helpful in getting my orders imported :) Thank you so much for everything, I highly recommend this app!
This is the best app to migrate. Coming from WooCommerce, the flexibility you have to map different types of data to where you need it in Shopify is monumental. I tried some other migration apps and you don't have any control over how things get migrated over. Not only is this much better to have control over your data, but the support is super fast and super helpful. Don't pass this app up if you need to migrate!
First Shopify review I ever left: EZ Importer rocks!! There are some real great minds behind it. Well done guys!
This app was fantastic to help me import my orders from Kickstarter to Shopify! I looked around quite a bit for an app that would work well and was extremely thankful to have used EZ Importer. Also, the support team ROCKS! Thank you for making my life so much easier!!
I used this app to help med import orders from one Shopify store to another. This app was really easy to use and everything worked well. The support was fast, friendly and very helpful. I recommend this app.
Once you initially become comfortable with the templates and format it is easy to import bulk orders that filter through to Shopify automatically. Has been a major help to our business.
I used EZ importer to move my orders from Wix to Shopify. The tutorials were very helpful and I was able to complete the process quickly. Highly recommend.
I wanted to import my kickstarter orders onto shopify for ease of order management. I liked the fact that I could test upload and delete the files easily to make sure I have correctly imported all the fields. Would definitely recommend. You dont lose credits when you do a test upload. So all in all great!!
This app has been a life-saver! Ralph was amazing - he helped me fix the issues I had in the configuration and gave me really great screen shots to show me how the import would look in my store. It may look intimidating, but don't give up, Ralph will help you get what you need from the app!
EZ importer is a very good app:
- It does what i says and works well
- The support is great
Good job
I used this app to easily map thousands of products from a custom feed into Shopify. This was achievable in a few minutes and was so easy to use.
We re-launched a Shopify store and exported/imported over 30k orders from the old to new stores. We did not have 1:1 product mapping but were still able to let customers see their previous orders within their accounts.
We had some specific needs around the import (auto-generated emails, QB automation, etc) and Ralph was absolutely amazing in helping us test to ensure our gigantic import went without a hitch.
I cannot reiterate how responsive the support team was in helping with our mapping and checking in to be sure that all was good.
Highly recommend...
Three reasons to use EZ Importer:
-1- Handles HUGE amounts of data easily
-2- Is CLEAR and fast to understand
-3- Amazing responsive customer support
-1- My story: I imported 3.5 years worth of data from a previous platform (Teachable). That was about 31,000 transactions. This only took a few hours.
-2- My story: setting up the headers on the CSV file was the greatest challenge. This app makes it easy to understand what Shopify NEEDS to get as input for data. Really clear. The little help bubbles were very useful.
-3- Sent an email on Friday night, got a reply less than 12 hours later, on Saturday morning. enough said! :)
BONUS:
I did try multiple times to import 10 transactions "as a test" to correctly format my data and uncover errors. This app gives you 50 free transactions to import.
So I believed I had "five good shots" at getting my data right then was to pay. But nope. Once I tried 10 transactions, and then deleted those 10 imports, the app would "CREDIT ME BACK" the transactions. That's fantastic!
thanks a lot!

We used EZ Importer to get existing orders over to Shopify - it's a pretty straightforward tool and did exactly what we needed. It did take a few attempts to upload the first couple batches, but once we got the data mapping down, it was easy. Definitely recommend!
We used this app to move our client lists over from an existing very old website. It took a few attempts since they titled the data very differently but with the developers help we were able to successfully mover over a lot of data. We would highly recommend.
It wasn't a straight forward process, but that was only caused because I couldn't change my files as needed. The service though was incredibly good, very patient and really willing to help with everything. In the end I was able to import our Kickstarter data exactly as we wanted it! The app itself is very good and easy to understand. I can really recommend it, especially if you need there service.
I dealt with Ralph (CEO) for EZ Importer. I was ready to call it quits when it didn't work the first time (and I am brand spanking new to Shopify), he offered to do a refund because I wasn't getting it right but he also offered to help me if I was willing to give it another try.
So I gave it another try and he went way above and beyond to help me get things working properly.
If it were not for his amazing customer service and willingness to help, I would probably have spent even more money, hiring one of Shopify's help staff.
Thanks for what you did Ralph. MUCH appreciated!

We love EZImporter! Ralph and his team provide great support, helped us get setup, and continue to support our needs and be open to new ideas / features! We couldn't be happier with EZImporter and Highview Apps!
Excellent app, easy to use and works as expected. Amazing support too - Ralph went out of his way to help me out ASAP with a small issue I had getting set up.
Founder was amazing. Helped me through the whole process.
Thanks again :)
EDIT: Updating my review. I had mapped and transitioned much of my old platform's order date, and as we get close to launching our new site on Shopify, I went to upload the orders that have taken place since the last transfer. In that time, they addressed my reviews comment about other apps emailing people, and they've put a note to audit your apps to ensure emails are disabled during imports. They are very responsive to feedback!

Original Post:
This app is great for importing large quantities of files and old orders into Shopify. Beware: if you have any third party apps that send emails, be sure to disable the emails during uploads or old customers will receive receipts, etc! (This isn't an EZ Importer issue so much as an issue that is going to come into play when dealing with multiple app extensions. The app can be particular about data formatting during uploads. It's good because it ensures good data is imported, but it's annoying if you don't care as much about a field. The support was amazing! They reached our after any failed imports (without my asking) and told me exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. Would recommend this app!
This app saved me so much time and trouble. With help of the awesome support, it was a breeze to import 1000+ orders out of my lightspeed shop into shopify. Recommend highly!
