I think there are all sorts of good intentions but they are racing to utilize AI and the bugs have not been worked out. I have had repeated issued in the 3 weeks that I have been trying to use this app and am very frustrated with the delay in getting a person involved to actually fix the issues - many were non issues but AI issues.
For a $trillion company this is one of the worst apps i have ever dealt with.
UPDATE- Looks like Shopify and Meta auto-synced all discount codes to FB Shops- so all of your Loyalty codes, etc got synced to Meta Shops - why would anyone in either dev team do that?
Support is non existent, chat is terrible - either they do not know what is going on or they send you a Help page link.
Simply put this Meta channel will not work with products that have multiple variants - like size AND color - unless you have a unique url for EVERY option
If you use an app like Globo to set up color options it will not be recognized by FB or IG shops - so i would not bother.
Also you will miss out on proper on site messaging like popups, cross sells, email collection, etc
It was a massive waste of time for me and we ended up with lots of orders for bracelets of a certain size but no leather color - so no way to know what to ship.
Truly shocking that Meta would outsource support to India or wherever - what are they copying Amazon??
Literally broken for me. App settings are blank, and can't actually use it from Meta's end as product fixes and reverification is near impossible.
Our Facebook and Instagram account have been disabled for almost 2 weeks and we have done all the necessary steps to fix this issue. We have all the information required for our account submitted. We need to fix this issue so we can continue selling on Facebook and Instagram. No one has been able to help us with this ongoing issue.
Seems like I am having the same problems as others...
Have been waiting for the approval for weeks... The Shopify itself also mentions the developer of the app needs to update the version matches to the newest Shopify version of API which updates every 3 months...
If this info is wrong, in any other ways around, please approve my Shopify account syncs with Facebook&Instagram...
Shop hasn't been working for 6 weeks, now it's black friday. No support. We give meta 500k a year in ads. Shameful.
This is my fifth attempt to set up Facebook and Instagram for my Shopify site, and once again, it hasn’t been successful. The lack of support from Meta is truly disappointing—how can such a massive organization not provide proper assistance for its users? They expect us to invest in ads for marketing, yet we can’t even get our shop set up correctly. Our products are ready to sync and publish, but without adequate support, the process is unnecessarily frustrating. I can't see how we’d feel confident putting money into their ad platform when the basics aren’t working.
How do you reach a real person??? It is IMPOSSIBLE for me to reach a human for help with my Facebook account. I've sent messages after messages just asking if someone could reach out to me to guide me to fixing the issues I am having. It has been over a year and still not one Facebook help support person contact me.
So, now my accounts in limbo. And costing me money.
Ps. I don't like TikTok really. But, easier to get customer support help there than Facebook. Which is ridiculous because of Facebook size and standing.

Meta is always changing for the worse everything.
Please, make a streamlined experience for advertisers and engineers.
