this app needs to be updated. It doesnt allow you to change your fb or ig page login once its on one page. so its not allowing me to switch btw my different profile accounts. Meta all together needs a lot of updates. just over this whole app and its blocking me from getting more money. I see why it has 3 stars it sucks simple

Absolutely do not allow this app to create a Facebook Business Portfolio for you, especially if you already manage multiple ad accounts. It will create one automatically, violating Facebook's terms for Business Portfolios (which is ironic since this is their official Shopify app), then they will restrict your account, and you won't be able to run ads. Nor will you be able to fix it by deleting the portfolio and creating a new ad account.

All I want is to be able to tag products that send people to my website. I have been through 50 million settings 20 different help files (non of which have correct or instructions that actually match the page they tell you to visit)
I now have multiple pixels I believe and catalogues. This is a horrible experience. I should probably just shut it off!!!

Tengo un problema de duplicación del evento compra lo que altera mis resultados en ads ya que infla las ventas afectando directamente en mi negocio, me contacte con shopify culpaba a meta siendo que ellos son los que debían solucionar el problema, tuve que pagar a desarrollador que fue la unica solucion que me dio shopify, y el desarrollador dice que la app debe solucionar el problema y tardan dias en responder y sigo sin poder optimizar bien mis campañas

Si vous voulez payer pour d'autres publicités (qui ne sont pas les vôtres) alors go! Sinon, confiance morte, Méta fait des modifications non autorisé dans vos publicités ou alors ne sont pas capable de sécuriser leur applications (évidemment on va me reprocher des erreurs de sécurité de mon coté, mais non). De plus, les campagnes sont fainéantes, elles performent bien au début, puis un bon temps mort, pour bien prendre de l'argent. Les facturations sont complètement opaques, vous ne savez pas si vous payez pour un service efficace ou pas, ou pour quelqu'un d'autre. Faite une pause dans une campagne de pub, réactivez la et vous aurez une bonne efficacité de retour, mais que pour un temps...

Awful. Tons of bugs. Won't load half of the time. Meta you need help in a lot of ways. Settings up ad campaigns couldn't be more of a disaster. I can't even uninstall and reinstall this app to get my pixel working. My pixel is suddenly not 'firing'. Pretty sad.

its not allowed to switch account , and when i just uninstalled it for using different fb account with different pixel its not even not installing even not responding just redirect me on same page when i click on install

Meta has disabled my personal account along with all of my connected business accounts, cutting off access to over 10 years of business data, communications, and customer connections.

There is no functional support system available. Every support pathway requires logging in, yet login is blocked — including attempts to access support through the Shopify integration. This creates a closed loop with no way to reach a human or submit an appeal.

An automated AI system has made a serious and damaging error, and there is no accessible process to correct it.

This lack of accountability and human support is unacceptable, especially for businesses that depend on these platforms for daily operations.

Facebook & Instagram App — Meta Shop not functional for EU-based businesses (missing in-app warning)

I am writing to report a significant issue affecting EU-based Shopify merchants using the Facebook & Instagram app.

When an EU-based store sets up the Meta Shop through the Shopify app, the setup process completes successfully and product tagging on Instagram becomes available. However, the Meta Shop storefront itself is inaccessible to visitors due to conflicts between Meta's Shop logic and EU regulations (likely related to the Digital Markets Act). Customers who click the "View Shop" banner on tagged Instagram posts are directed to a "Content Not Available" page.

This creates a serious trust issue for merchants, as potential customers see an error message when attempting to view their shop. Furthermore, the "View Shop" banner cannot be removed or hidden.

After consulting with Meta's support team, I was informed that EU-based businesses are currently unable to operate a functional Meta Shop storefront. This appears to be a known limitation, yet there is no warning or notice within the Shopify Facebook & Instagram app to inform EU merchants of this before they invest time in the setup process.

My request: Please add a clear, prominent warning within the Facebook & Instagram app for EU-based stores, advising them that the Meta Shop storefront feature is not currently functional due to regulatory constraints. This would save EU merchants significant time and prevent damage to their brand credibility.

I spent approximately two days troubleshooting this issue before receiving clarification from Meta's support team. I believe many other EU merchants are facing the same problem.
