It is very hard to navigate facebook and shopify. There's not clear instructions. As a boutique owner I want everything to go thru shopify. I'm unsure of which emails from facebook are spam or are legit.

There is a constant message to verify my business details. I attempt to verify and get the same message every time that this is not longer an issue. But 2-3 days later get the same message. Meanwhile, both apps are working. I do not understand.

Generally works great, but now it tells me that I have an "Action needed" but I cant click "Open app" and all settings are green and active.

Absolutely a horrible experience trying to connect accounts. It constantly tries to add your personal account to your business on Shopify. The Facebook auth and connection process is garbage.

This app has completely failed. My entire store will no longer sync with Facebook ads. I've spent hours with their support team. They are as lost as I am in attempting to get the app to work.

I’ve been extremely disappointed with the Facebook and Instagram app on Shopify. Over time, recurring issues—especially the repeated rejection of our products on both Facebook and Instagram—have made it nearly impossible to run effective advertising campaigns. Unfortunately, these issues aren’t isolated; they’re part of a broader, ongoing problem with Meta’s platform, and there’s been no meaningful support available to help resolve them.

Due to these persistent challenges, we have ultimately ceased advertising with Meta altogether. It’s frustrating to invest time and resources into a tool that not only fails to deliver on its promises but also leaves you without the necessary support when problems arise.

I hope these concerns are taken seriously and that significant improvements are made to both the product approval process and customer support infrastructure.

Difficult to work with, and they send confirmation codes to use, but give no screen or field to enter the code.

They have made the app much harder to deal with, but after taking ages to figure it out, it works fine.

This app is exhausting. It constantly disconnects from Facebook and forces me to reverify everything like it’s my first time. The setup process is overly complex, Meta’s approval flow is vague and inconsistent, and product syncing often breaks for no reason. I’ve spent more time fixing errors than actually running ads. If you're serious about e-commerce automation, this app slows you down. Shopify merchants deserve a smoother, more stable integration. Until Meta fixes this, it’s not worth the headache.
