Flow has a very easy-to-use control interface and works well with Sidekick, allowing a few paths for a quick automated management tool.
One complaint is I would like to use Flows, as with all Shopify tools, across multiple storefronts and Shopify's multi-storefront and multi-user tools are extremely poor.
There is little to no thought for large business or enterprise level accounts in any of Shopify's tools.
I used Sidekick to create two flows to help me manage the influx of bot-generated fraudulent orders in my store. The flows cancel and tag the orders as fraudulent so I don't have to wade through them everyday, saving me time. Sidekick tackled the task quickly. Glad that this flow capability is available.
Some annoying limitations in the ui (e.g. can't insert a new block in between two existing ones-- it branches off the parent block) but very functional overall and solved my problem
Hi, thanks for the feedback. To clarify - you can insert a new block between steps by deleting the link between them and then reconnecting them with your new step (drag a link from the preceding step to your new step).
Sometimes the AI isn't as intuitive about how to work around a problem - for example, to backfill orders that wont be caught in the new flow it advised me to use an external app when it could have suggested to set up a second flow set up slightly differently.
It's an extremely powerful tool but also complicated to figure out without sidekick. I strongly recommend using it in conjunction with sidekick. Use plain language prompts to have Sidekick build the flows for you then check them.
Fácil de entender y ahora con la IA adjunta es más sencillo generar flujos que automaticen procesos repetitivos
Ideal for most in-app automations. But it is odd that there is no baked in "When an order is Order is tagged" trigger.
a little glitch and not so intuitive in terms of tags properties
Would be great to have more options to obtain metafield values in a flow that can then be subsquently used later in the flow to update other fields.
Editing the marketing emails was tricky, had to delete them and start again. The email template link took me to the automation page.
