Sadly there is no customer support at all and no easy way simply block physical address and the surrounding area.
Hi, there! Thank you for your review of the Fraud Filter App. You should be able to use the app to create a filter that is able to use different address information to block incoming orders from specific addressed, and even postal codes! We have a help document here (https://shopify.link/dxey) that you should find helpful. If you need support with using the app, reach out to our 24/7 Support Team available via our Help Center: https://shopify.link/vRnL. -Imogen, Shopify Support
I had a rule setup on a customer who damages items to collect insurance claims and keeps the item and/or say the customers packages were open and items were removed repeatly - i contact Shopify and they told me to contact the developer so here i am... only to find out Shopify is the developer. what the heck.
Edit: customer placed an order; made fake insurance claims. We place on auto cancel fraud list with app. 30 days later the same customer with same email places a new order that is not fulfilled. Contact Shopify and they tell me to contact the developer and then realize Shopify is the developer and here I am. Confused
Hi there. Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing some trouble with the Fraud Filter app. To provide some clarification however, this app works to help reduce the risk of receiving potentially-fraudulent orders. It doesn't apply to orders that have already been fulfilled. To learn more about the functionality of the app, you can check out this page: https://shopify.link/n0rV. I set up a rule for a specific customer that has made over 25 fraudulent purchases. Yes the app canceled the orders but did not block them from happening. I can not see where to contact customer support - very frustrating.
Thank you for taking the time and bringing this to our attention. It's important to note that Fraud Filter blocks fraudulent orders, and merchants have the options to cancel the orders automatically or receive warning so that they can cancel the orders manually - this is also conveyed on our guide here: https://shopify.link/dxey.
That being said, if you're looking for a way to completely prevent the customer from accessing your store, then there are a couple of third-party apps that you can consider - such as Easyban (https://shopify.link/rJrZ) or Bad Customer (https://shopify.link/md3W). Or, if you're interested in added protection against fraud and non-fraud chargebacks, then we'd recommend taking a look at Signifyd (https://shopify.link/6VrB). Cheers. -Elias, Shopify Support
The app completely ignored a particular rule that I had set up. Hence, a fraudolent customer was able to do a repurchase.
Not happy about it.
Hi there, thank you for your review and I am sorry to hear that this happened. If you still wish to use the app, please contact our support team directly and we can look into the rule you set up and why the order was able to get through: https://shopify.link/vRnL. -Victor, Shopify Support
I use it since 2 years approx and it helps but some people can order under another name ??? So, I have tried to add many filters about names and will see what this does. But I check where every customer lives by googling them and check where they live and if their adresses matches the one they entered, all good. Also if they are not regular customers, will turn down the shipping in a different location than the billing. The crooks are insistant though, They call and try to defend their points even if their story is a joke
We have set it up as we get a warning, not the order cancelled automatically. After doing my research, I decide and cancel the order becase we have accepted the charge . We also have set up that we have to accept the charge instead of automatic. It gives us time to look into them and no need to refund since they were never charged. But anything suspiscious, am not risking. I do offer them to ship to stores near them so they can go buy directly and even save on shipping fees, and funny enough, had one fake buyer residing 2 blocks away from one of our buyer (store) and another, 4 blocks away, and in both cases, they refused so, we know it is a gimmick.
Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and custom filters that you use to mitigate these high risk orders. In addition to blocking users names, you should be able to filter out their IP address or email as a filter as well. If you would like some more assistance with this, please contact our support team and we can look into it further: https://shopify.link/VRd6 -Mac, Shopify Support
It's nice to have peace of mind about orders. However, it would save space and eliminate clutter if there was an option to create a rule for multiple addresses. I occasionally get suspicious inquiries and I would like to put them all under one rule that would filter ANY address in the rule. That would be much more useful than having an individual filter for each address because the filter needs ALL addresses in order to work.
In other words, I'd like to be able to have a single rule that filters ANY address in a list.
Been using this app for sometime. It does filter and cancel orders but you have to take care to configure the filters correctly. The functionality is limited, missing basic requirements such as searching the contents of the filters created. This app is needed to prevent fraud and block undesirables, but it needs to be enhanced.
This app only works if you know a specific email address, IP address, etc. that you want to block. It won't block general terms, such as if the CVV doesn't match the card, or blocking a "high risk" attempt. Really frustrating.
Protecting the fraudulent intent a perfection, you can set up rules and it's very functional.
Thank you, Shopify!

Luckily, I've never had to use this app but I like that I have this already set up on my store... just in case.
