Very good support
It does all I want it to, and the customer service and tech support have been great. When I had an issue, I reached out and within 12 hours the issue was fixed, and I was given a clear explanation as to why it went wrong in the first place. Top notch!

The Dr Free Gift is a great app.
And the customer service is great. The app is very easy to use and, more importantly, it increases sales! When we offer a free gift if a customer spends a certain amount we always show increased revenue. Customers want the free gifts and will spend extra to get them. This app is a must-have if you are in e-commerce. B. Fuller

I am so far happy with how the app works. However, I have expected a bit more advanced features, and perhaps I should have checked before signing up for a subscription.
1. I don't like the fact that the app is creating a new product for the free gift instead of using the product that I already created in my shop. That means that I have this product 'twice', as an identical copy. If you plan to give out a lot of gifts, and you are on a Shopify plan with set amount of product, this could mean that you'll reach the maximum allowed products in your plan pretty quickly.
2. The app doesn't allow a setting that each customer receives a gift in his cart only once. This means - and in my eyes looks a bit unprofessional for a shop - that customers who are eligible for a free gift, might see this gift several times in their cart, when they come back for future purchases and the gift is still active but has already been 'given' to them before. This doesn't make sense especially in my case, selling digital products, where a download is only needed once.
I have forwarded my feedback to the app owner and developers and hope, they are able to improve the app to make the gifting a bit more reasonable for the shop owner and more professional looking at the checkout for returning customers.
All in all it seems to be a good app though, just not quite what I would have loved to see.
Edit: I decided to uninstall the app and look around for another solution.

Really great app, where so many others like it were problematic. I installed while we were running a promotion for 3 months. I will install it again next time we need it

There are many buggy plug-ins, unknown banners will appear when deleting items from the shopping cart, ugly interface display, and most importantly, poor customer service experience. No reply for several days
We are confused about your review.
You sent a question at 8:20 at night our time, outside working hours, and we replied at 8:16 AM the next morning.
And our app doesn’t generate any banners at all - but it does integrate with the shop’s theme. Your shop’s theme may have been the culprit and generated the banner, we see themes do that sometimes. We would like to help address your concerns as this review is inaccurate and damaging to our app’s reputation. Please respond to our support emails, so we can resolve whatever issues you experienced.
