We have been using the Bogos app to offer a free UV lamp to customers who sign up and place their first order with our brand, Ohora. While the app initially worked correctly, in the past few months, it has started adding the free UV lamp to non-eligible orders, such as customers’ 2nd, 3rd, or even 5th+ orders.
This creates a very problematic customer experience, as we are unable to explain to returning customers why a free item appears in their cart without them qualifying for it.
We contacted the technical support team multiple times, but unfortunately, they did not provide a solution and instead claimed that the issue was caused by Shopify.
For an app this expensive, it is extremely disappointing that such a simple and fundamental rule, “gift only on first order,” cannot be reliably handled. We hope the team will address this issue urgently.
